Dear members:

To anyone that might find this information helpful, please note the following:

1.-Bang Bead is a full MVS release and not a proto. It comes with everything, dip sheet, bubble bag, markee, flyers.

2.-The serial number of mine is 000187, so maybe more than 200 exist.

3.-It is the sequel to flip shot, the same characters appear plus two hidden ones you unlock when you finish the game or input a code.

4.-Visco developed this game.

5.-The game is fucking fun, like flip shot but much faster and the graphics are way beyond it. Some gameplay improvements.

6.-I will give you the NGH as soon as I open the cart.

7.-I would like o provide the meg count, but don't know how.

8.-If you want pics, I'll post them as oon as I am not busy.

Concerning point 7, can anyone tell me how?

Well I hope I helped the neo community.

Now, please end the bullshit about Bang Bead.

Lord:

That really sucks!!

Every time, on every system, it's either "easy to find in Japan", "easy in USA", "easy on Europe", and that fucking pissed me off <IMG SRC="smilies/veryangry.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/veryangry.gif" border="0">

Because if some clver bastards in a particular regin buy lots of the difficult to find in some other area, they try to sell it as if it was gold!!

fuck <IMG SRC="smilies/veryangry.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/veryangry.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

no, he means he'll give you the NGH number, which is stamped onto every cart.

Nice Nice info man, a certain someone is eating his words right now since he pretty much shot me down saying I didnt know shit and he was positive this was an "Unreleased cart".

Your serial number alone means more than 120 kits were made, that is hardley unreleased or proto. It just makes me have to wonder why the "other" person whow as saying this was a proto, didn't look at his serial number and see for himself? Or maybe he did...

I'd bank on saying there are probly 500-1,000 made. As for the meg count, uhsually it says that on the MVS sticker, doesn't it?

Caris: Unfortunately it doesn't on MVS carts...unless it is mentioned somewhere in the flyers, the world may never know.

To get an idea of the meg count, you could write down the part numbers and manufacturers of the ROM chips, and then look them up on the manufacturer's site (probably would work for such a recent release) or look them up in a database such as the ones at http://www.chipdir.org and http://www.falstaff.demon.co.uk/GIICM.html. Of course, these methods most likely won't work if the ROMs have custom/removed markings or are custom chips (although custom chips aren't likely for a short run). This method also isn't perfect because it only tells you the size of the ROM chips, not how much the game actually uses; you can safely assume that they use at least half the capacity of the chip though (more in practice, but it's not as though I've done statistical analysis), since ROM sizes are typically made in doubles. Then again, SNK's count's aren't exact in that regard either (unless they've managed to always use exact multiples of 131,072 bytes in their neverending quest to make really huge games :P)

why do you have to open the cart for the game code or what you refer to as the NGH (Neo Geo homecart)? If you have a moded system and a convertor, you can get it from the mod.

Also just counting the chip size is not a accurate meg count. Close but not the actually size of the game. You are assuming all the chips are full of data <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

although I will say it is nice you are offering the information I just hate for you to crack your cart if you do not have to, even if it is a only a NGM cart and is easy to disassemble.

on the very early NGM carts like Baseball stars and Nam 75 they had the meg count on the spine of the NGM. But they only did it for like a year then quite. Just pointing that out of course maybe I am being picky <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Not that it really matters anyway. counting chips you get an idea of how big the game is but sometimes even chips are why off. like in trash rally which is actually quite a smaller game then the chips used inside the cart.
