At work last night I got into a heated argument with one of my fellow co-workers as to whether or not there ever was a MVS 3 slot. This guy repairs pinball and arcade machines and swears that he used to own a 3 slot. As far I know there are only 1 slots, 2 slots, 4 slots, and 6 slots. I'm probably in the wrong, as usual, but I would like to get the official word. Please enlighten me!

I personally beleive what u said is correct 1,2,4 and 6 slot, it wouldnt make sense to make a 3 slot the 4 slot came out after 2 slot so why would they release a 3 slot after? i think ur right and should take the piss out of ur mate for a laugh!

You're not wrong, tell the guy to stop smokin' that heavy stuff. There were only 1-, 2-, 4-, and 6-slots. He probably had a 4-slot with three games in it, what a moron . . .

The only 3-slot is a 4-slot with one cart port not functioning correctly.

Thanks so much guys for the answers!

I called this guy just to bust his chops and he now says that the 3 slot was a limited edition custom cabinet from SNK. He also said that you can chain a 2 slot and a 1 slot together to make a homemade 3 slot. He said it was what the "industry insiders" called "MVS Math". I asked him how he accomplished this and he quickly said that he'd forgotten. "MVS Math"! Ha, Ha, Ha, that's the biggest crock of shit I've heard in awhile!

The really scary thing is that he actually works on arcade machines! I went over to his place and he is in the process of fixing Mario Bros, Tron, Space Invaders, Crime Fighers, Golden Axe, and Mechanized Attack (SNK). The pinball machines he had completed repairing were Last Action Hero, Batman Forever, Judge Dredd, Demolition Man, and Street Fighter 2. The guy must have at least some clue about arcade machines to have repaired all those listed above.

Mabey people like him are partly to blame for the "Great Arcade Downfall". Because if there are alot of people like him in the coin-op industry that can't be a good thing!

Or an overly ambitious and stretchy two-slot...it's like this porno I saw once .

Chances are it's a multi jamma setup or some other hack.

Why does this guy fix arcade machines again?

Business, own arcade etc...?

This guy does this part-time to supplement his income. He doesn't own an arcade. He fixes the machines out of his garage.
