I know what you're talking about. That was the supposed AES II that was in development by Arcade! www.neogeousa.com However they didn't have enough orders so they cancelled it twice. Sorry.

If it concerns the MVS system It's ok (you are free to decide what system you want as far as the games can run on it ). But if it's true you can also run the AES then it's piracy!!
It's only with the SNK home system : the NEO-GEO you are allowed to use AES.
I don't think it's a good idea do release such System when it was heard the futur SNK policy about piracy!

That was !Arcades! little gizmo. Great idea, unfortunately it lacked the support to make it a viable investment for the company. It was apparently going to act as a supergun as well so you could play other arcade PCBs as well. Would have been sweet...

apparently it'd cost $599... I think I would be able to pay that for an MVS and AES in one...

I'm pretty sure it was only going to be $399.00 As a matter of fact I beleive that the final pricing was from $345-$445.

The specs are in a post somewhere I will post the specs if i can find them.

!Arcade!'s stance on the system is that they did not have enough pre orders. They also said the attitude around their office is never say never about the AES II (working title). If you are still interested in it feel free to send an e-mail to Ray. You can find an e-mail address at http://www.neogeousa.com/

I'd be willing to bet that if they eventually got 250 pre orders they would finally make it. One can only hope.

I was skeptical about that project then, again, and now

Yep, it would have been nice. Speaking of which, anybody got their GameGo magazine? I know that they went broke, but GameGo charged for 2 (first issues) in my CC (never refunded), and it never arrived.
