Kof 2001 Home Cart - release date

well anyway...
cardboard boxes are better. there is no insert to get ruined <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">
also, i hate snaplock cases, they systematically destroy neo games. the snk logo on the inside scratches carts/manuals and the stupid holes around the outside, no to mention the plastic isnt sealed on the bottm, ruin inserts as well.
long live clam shell cases! theyre nice and soft and have the full size insert, not to mention if you take the tray out they store mvs games as well

Since the rumours first spreaded about a possible home release I'm sooo excited... Just like a lil' boy, waiting for his x-mas presents, lol! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
Well, my x-mas will be around the first quarter of 2k2 I'd guess!
About cardboard boxes or snaplock cases... Uhm, I don't care. I want the game, even if I'd have to buy the ROM chips in a plastic bag.
Anyway, I always preferred the old-style cart cases, they are much more elegant. The snaplocks of the new-style cases tend to wear out quickly.

Damn right, I love the vinyl cases. Nothing against the plastic snap locks, I just love the soft touch and and smell of the case. The only down side to them is people mistake them for porno boxes <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

price in japan is about 35000 yens,more than any other release...count the game to be priced by ncs,etc...more like $300 than $268
considering there is already $30 difference with sengoku 3 official price at release date...

I sure as hell hope it doesn't come in a cardboard box! Come on! We're spending well over $200 on a game. I don't know about you guys, but I want to get my money's worth. I want a sturdy case that'll protect the investment. Not something that'll easily get damaged in water and can be easily damaged altogether. Cardboard boxes are cheap packaging for a video game. I didn't like it when Nintendo did. I didn't care for it when Sega did that crap on some Genesis games and I sure as hell don't want that for the Neo Geo! <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0">

I jokingly say that it will be packed in a cardboard box, or a SNES style slip. I had no intention on anyone actually believing it. Although, I do have a source that says it will be packed with Neo Geo chewing gum. Or is that the "Hyper Multi-Laser Neo Geo 24" system... I can never remember which.

You all say you want it,but have you actually played it yet, i have been to a few arcade places in london who have neo machines and none have got it in yet and dont even plan to, i wont make the mistake i made of buying kof2000 without tyring it, maybe after all a emu is good to try games before you buy...NOT,

Cardboard if were lucky... I have a source that says it will be a brown paper bag with KOF 2001 written in crayon on the outside. But I have been assured the color stripe will be correct genre color.
