Apparently, NCS will be able to offer both Japanese and English versions of King of Fighters 2001 for the Neo Geo AES (home console version). We have been asked to submit our pre-order quantities for both the Japanese edition and what appears to be an Asian English edition. Although we haven't finalized details for this offer yet, many Neo devotees have submitted their reservations already. Due to the news, please feel free to contact NCS with your version preference or pre-order online.

I guess there wont have to be another "swap"..

I still think I'll keep my Japanese preorder.

"Asian,English Version"- My educated guess would be "ASIAN PRODUCED / MANUFACTURED software (game program) /hardware(pcb's,chips,casings)" "ENGLISH TRANSLATION of manual / insert by asians in Asia".

I Imagine the asian\english version is just like the Asian\english pocket games. everything in English.

but now I wonder if the NGH cases will be the same or if they well look different

They will bring back the cardboard box for the carts. Maybe that or a SNES type cart slip thingie.

WHAT?!?!?! Are you serious about the cardboard boxes?! If you're referring to the old-style Neo cases, then I guess it's no big deal. I'd rather keep the snaplock cases since they look better and they hold up better than the old style ones.

As for the "Asian English" version, I preordered one, but I think it'll have the same layout like the English carts do, but they were simply translated to English by Asians, as another poster said.

Big Bear, do you plan on getting your old job back?

Seems like that, me and my friends pre-ordered 5 Asian/English, and 2 Japanese...

I asked NCS about the packaging and they think it will still be the snaplock.

I hope it'll be a snaplock case or at least clamshell. I don't want a $268 dollar game being relegated to cheap cardboard packaging. I want to protect my game when I'm not playing it!
