Gentlemen,

Un-named sources have come forward to tell me that Ray Young may soon be aquiring an Ironclad/Brikinger cartridge. They also report that Ray's intentions will be to reproduce the game whereby making it available for all to enjoy. I would like to extend my thanks to Ray for handling it in this way. It is the CORRECT way to handle this proto, and the way in which ALL protos should be handled.
Thank you Ray,
Billy

Interesting news. I know you're not an NGF promoter, but I can't think of any other valid "unnamed" persons that claim to posess such a cart.

regardless, if they are working with Ray to give everyone this cart, awesome!

Has anyone here even played Brikinger (Ironclad)? I know its out for the Neo CD, is it a decent shooter or just mediocre? Just wondered . . .

I think it's fairly common knowledge that Ray knows a former SNK engineer that has the MVS version. I read it in that big chat get together we had a while back. Am I the only one that read that in the chat?

I've played it on NeoCD, it isn't bad. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous.

Well, I'm not the biggest shooter fan, but I found it quite playable. It has multiple routes (always a good thing), several rendered units and backgrounds (there's a few picture in our review section), and the sound is Neo CD quality.

Of course, that begs the question of how the CD sound will be tranfered onto home cart.

Hmm...

but!
did pulstar get a AST when it went to CD?

I don't think so. I think ASTs were mainly ofr fighters. And Pulstar sounded very good on the AES

As long as it's not too big in terms of file size, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Doesn't the Neo have 15 sound channels, allowing for sound that really does rival CD's? (Good lord, that sounded like an advertisement ;_; )

If it is true, it is indeed good news. I played Brikinger/Iron Clad. It is a fairly solid game, but I prefer Aero fighters 2, and even Pulstar more.

interesting how everyone's after a bootleg of this, while other bootlegs are a sin that deserve immediate death by the hand of raging neogeo freaks.

Ironclad is pretty darn cool. I paid a whole lot for the CD version and would love to see a homecart come out.
