Well you know there is some bit of satisfaction I get from reading a spine and seeing it say 700 megs or something enormous like that. I was hoping for some outrageous number.

I'm pretty sure that games like KOF 2k1 have already maxed out the graphics board of carts. The only way to make them bigger is to have more music.

I think slug 3 & MOTW are the maximum what we can expect from our old neo and thats already good.

Having a big number is pretty good to look at, but eventually when they get as high as possible then, it's eventually going to stay at probably 1 big number. I guess I rather see the meg count jump around from different releases in the future.

when you buy a game, you don't buy a number but a game.

for some people megs count is important. for me not. besides game what is important is the art design of the insert & manual. I admit, I'm very carefull about it.

If compression is used, that can drive the Megabit count down some. A lot of MS3's 708 had apparently gone into multiple paths and some of the bosses' insane animation.

Megabit count is just a number. With MS3, we were lucky that SNK was able to pull it off with little if any slowdown. There's so much going on in that game.

Meg count is like the power of your car. Performances are not entirely linked with that number (weight, gearbox and other perameters must be included) but the first thing that everybody ask when we want to know how performant is a car is the power.
