$699!?!

Are they out of their minds? Hopefully that isn't the real price...if so, I know very few people who'd actually go for it. You could buy a 4-slot and Sigma for way less...and be able to play a hell of a lot more games. Looks like Ray is missing a golden opportunity to make MVS a much more compelling option. Here's one Neo fan who says "Hell no!"

Go see the folly yourself:

Looks like a typo to us, we will look into it and have the proper price inserted shortly.

Best Regards

Probably a typo, something like that shouldn't go for more than $299 (at the super extreme most). All it is is a modified MVS board after all (a $150 piece of hardware).

lol, well there went any shot in hell of me buying one, and I was actually looking forward to this.

You could get a fully modded AES, and a 6 slot MVS board for Cheaper.

If you know how to find a deal, you could probably get a new supergun, a 1 slot and an fully modded AES system for 700.

I'd say anything over 299 is to much for that thing, it can't cost that much to make.

The 1200 for IM is an equal joke. All they did was make a trackball controller for it, you can make one of those yourself, it's just like making a custom arcade stick.

I don't care about the price(although in all honesty, the lower the better), just get rid of those "Email for price links" it gives me nightmares about buyrite.

That's a fucking awesome looking sigma system they've got...

Anyone know what they're like?

With a system looking as cool as that... I may start looking at MVS more seriously...

BTW, they've changed the price now... it's asking you to mail for price.

Did they change it out of shame? That price HAD to have come from somewhere...it MUST be correct, otherwise if it was way off you'd think they'd be driven to post the REAL price, nor $EMAIL.

Fuck !Arcade! for getting involved with Nikke in the first place. He was a top-flight reasonably priced source of JP Neo carts until he got in cahoots with Ray. <img src="graemlins/blowtop.gif" border="0" alt="[Blow Top]" />

!Arcade! just posted on their forums that the expected price is to be $349 to $399 depending on options. They also said to expect a one-slot version based on the MV-1C in the near future.

BWahahahaha, they took away the prices! Now it says "Email". Hehehe, it's Buyrite 2!

Anytime it says email/call etc., you know the price is way to much to show, hehe.

Hmm...

$400 for an MVS you can play on a TV

or

$450 for a Super Gun, two joysticks, 4 slot MVS board and the ability to play a whole hell of a lot more on a TV

Tough one. :D

Looks like he took on a project that will be difficult to turn a profit with. He's buying his equipment in bulk so that should cut down on costs, but not enough it seems. Either that or he's just trying to gouge Neo fans because, well, they like the Neo (not a cheap hobby).

Just my opinion anyway...

Sounds like a good idea but the price is too high. Heck, I could sell you a used Neo Geo Red Cabinet with 2 slot mvs for $699. Then you would have the real thing.

the supergun set up you speak of wopuld oprobably output shity picture qaulity. if I was going to get A super gun I would probably only go with A sigma. A price of $350-$400 (preferably $350) would be A good solid price.

one of those options being the powercord. pay $349 for the base system and $351 for the custom power cord.

Does anyone have an estimation on how much a Slot-1 would one cost with the same procedure instead of a 4-Slot?

Wow. That is pretty expensive, all things considered. Too bad nobody's done anything like this for a HNG64... maybe Vektorlogik can do this? ^_^

That's what they say Orpheus, but in all seriousness those same people probably say a PS or PS2 or DC hooked up with an RF switch outputs shitty video when it all looks/sounds the same to me. I probably wouldn't notice the difference (hell, VHS and DVD look the same to me). :D

I guess I don't nitpick the shit out of what I look at.

dude, than your opinion is irrelevent. I don't mean that in A bad way but if you can't tell the difference between VHS and DVD that probably means your hearing and sight is not like that of some on in to high end audio/video (what we call an audio/video phile). trust me, there is A difference. all people senses are different in how strong and sensitive they are. when an audio phile goes to plunk down big bucks on an expensive pair of speakers they get thier hearing tested to see it they will actually know any difference. other wise you are spending thousands on nothing. so, consider yourself lucky that you will never need better equipment. I seriously wish I was in your shoes (it would save me A shit load of money).
