Just for the Hell of it.

Since I consider myself an expert on the subject, I figured I'd post a list of the "coincidences" (hee hee...) between Dan Hibiki and the Kyokugen tradition.
1) Just look at him. He's Robert in Ryo's clothes.
2) Gadouken=Ko'oh ken, Koryuken=Koho, Danku Kyaku=Hien Shippu Kyaku, Hisshou Burai Ken=Ryuko Ranbu (I can hear him saying "SAIKYO-RYU OUGI!!!")
3) He's a specialist in taunting, seeing as taunting in Art of Fighting had a point.
4) Takuma wore a tengu mask as Mr. Karate, just like Dan's father Go Hibiki.
5) Dan and Takuma both have their own dojos, dedicated to their self-made fighting styles.
6) Dan and Yuri both have a "Yoyutchi" thumbs-up winpose.
7) Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter ending for Dan = Ending of Art of Fighting.
8) Actual Dan quote="I'm tired of the Art of Fighting! I want to be the King of Fighters!"
Of course, we all know where this entire Dan thing originated. Capcom noticed how Ryo and Robert were kinda...um...SIMILAR to Ryu and Ken (I remain neutral on this subject) so instead of suing SNK, they made Dan. In SNK VS. Capcom, he does a friggin' Haoh Sho Koh Ken.....it's insane....

To elaborate on the taunting, don't forget Dan's super taunt, in which he parodies Yuri. Actually I never knew about the information following some of those numbers, so there's really no harm in posting things like that: there's always someone who probably doesn't know.
