I remember a few weeks ago NGF used to post on this board saying that it was impossible for !ARCADE! to release such a convertor... Where are NGF now? HAHAHA. All Home owners should do as Jeff Kurtz suggested. Ditch NeoGeoFakes and get the convertor to play ORIGINAL MVS games, as made by SNK!

Yeah, come to think of it, they did always say that this converter was an impossibility. Where is "NGF" now, they should be here posting about how happy they are that the converter is out and works perfectly?

Its really nice when you think about it. This converter means that any future Neo Geo MVS releases, such as Nightmare in the Dark, can be bought as MVS carts and played on your home system! So if no home cart release comes out for this or other games, just wait a short time and pick up the MVS version cheap, and you've got it covered!!

!ARCADE! was doubted even before his converter was made avalable but ill tell you this:
I dont giva shit if his Phantom converter didnt work cuz it was the effort that counted the most and not a single one of yous gave him credit for trying.

Now im fckin glad his Converter works as a bold and true Neo gamer statement saying "we care for the Neo Community".

Like i have before i will again and aplaud
!ARCADE! for his great effort and well time spent on his Phantom converter.

SNK DEVIL Illy gives ya 2 Tiger Mantis Claws up!

Well I already planed to go this route since I actually prefer to buy MVS since I can play them on both my cab and my homeunit.

besides to me it seems kinda silly to buy future NGH that are conversion in newer games since the menu will be missing and you will not be getting any extras. but everyone has their own goals and tastes in what they like which I respect. Personaly though I will never buy any NGF titles even if they do come out with Diggerman II on NGH only

I consider my collection complete when I have every SNK made game.

This convertor sounds awesome... How much does it cost? Judging from past experiences with the MVS convertors they are expensive as hell... I already have a Super Gun, so would it make more sense to get the !Arcade! convertor, or to just get a 1-Slot MVS board? Do all new games work on the convertor?

--Thanks

you should read the other post on the convertor. But in short yes all games currently work and I have also been told future releases will work also (do not hold me to that but from how it is described if it will work on a mvs unit it will work on the convertor)

the problem with going the MVS 1-slot-supergun route is the games will be missing some features from the menus. I do not believe this will be much of a factor in future release since i doubt they will have mush of a menu if any (like strikers 1945+) but in older games like magical drop, last blade, kof etc you will missout on alot of gameplay.

the convertor goes for $399

"the problem with going the MVS 1-slot-supergun route is the games will be missing some features from the menus."

you mean compared to a home cart or a mvs playing on a home carts system right?
