That looks really really sweet. Did you do the case yourself? How hard was it to mod the case to fit like that?

From what I see the !ARCADE! convertor is made to "fit" in the homecart shell....there are two identical holes in the board of the convertor that match the two pegs in the homecart. The only real thing I had to do was figure out where the stereo plugs come through. I have a power table saw....so it was easy to make a nice clean cut.....I added some padding around the top as there was nothing in there to hold the top end of the convertor in the shell.....so I just padded it a little and it is great! Ray Young really hooked me up with this whole package....thanks! I really do appreciate all your help! Thanks again!

Maybe you should work out a deal with Ray to sell these things on a mass Neo Geo market? Because that would be a much better package for the Phantom. Or if he's not willing to do that, is there any way that I could get one?

oops my bad, read an older post and it was a DEAD cart he got it from, and hey he could have molded it!

Well getting the cases is a problem, unless you make a custom run of them, your gonna have to kill homecarts for their cart cases.

Yeah, shame on me. I was stupid to not consider the notion that he spent 10,000 plus on an injection mold for a single home cart shell. You obviously have no idea what it costs to make a mold for injected plastic products.

Is that open-celled foam? How much "give" does it provide? Did you devise a way to keep the top part on when not in use?

Plastic molds are very expensive to make. I actually looked into making snap lock cases for the older style inserts and the cost for the mold was in the tens of thousands of dollars. So I put that idea on hold. The only cheap economical way to make something like this would be to sac existing cart cases unless someone could come up with a better idea.
