Lee, life has its ups and downs. I guess what I meant to say is that life CAN be beautiful at times for SOME. For me, I believe happiness is definitely a choice to a point. Of course, if a piano falls on my head, I'm not going to be happy no matter how positive my attitude is. However apart from that extreme example, I make a conscious choice to dwell on the positives in my life, those things that inspire and uplift me and ignore the inevitable negatives that produce a diminishing effect. I guess we could all bemoan not having or becoming everything our idyllic notions dictate. But then again, feeling sorry for one's self is rather a waste of time. Hobbies like the Neo-Geo is one way I keep happy by pursuing something I'm passionate about. By the way, I used to live in the United Kingdom. I lived in Rickmansworth, a tiny hamlet no English person I've ever talked to has even heard of.

I know of rickmansworth.. i just live a chill out life myself.
