That's actually rather typical of most MVS carts. Within a year of their release, the price of the game drops considerably. On launch, KOF 2002 was at least $1500 on the MVS... by the time the AES cart comes along, it may be down even lower.

I know I'm being anal, but the fact that it comes from Hong Kong makes me think it is a bootleg. Or are the legit carts being manufactured or distributed from Honh Kong?

Think about it, if an operator gets one on release and lets people klnow he has it EVERYONE will be wanting to play the game and therefore he will make a lot of money but like cinema releases after a few weeks the frenzed playing has stopped and normal operation continues so the price drops accordingly, seems logical to me :->

Yes. The only time you have to worry about Bootlegs is when ordering AES carts from HK.

Possibly since HK sells a lot of MVS carts, they have to be prone to do some MVS to AES conversions so that they can move stock.

Also, I thnk it is amazing how fast RotD has dropped. Lat HK price is $240.00 (amazing).

Ummm... HK is a hot bed for bootleg MVS carts.

I don't why you think otherwise, but bootleg arcade carts are by far much more common than bootleg AES carts

Well, Cosmicco (dealer from Hong Kong) latest price list states RotD for 148$, and it's supposed to be original.

And I still don't understand what Shawn wanted to say with his post. I thought HK was the birthplace of most bootleg carts.
