Seems that someone has dumped Rage of The Dragons, and has even dumped 2k2 already, but isn't releasing it until the 5th of next month. But in good news, some of the rom whores are already running, seems Evoga is already highly pissed. More so than SNK ever was.

It was bound to happen anyway. Honestly, I really don't care. I don't think it matters too much for revenue either. The people that just want the roms aren't going to buy the legit cart either way. And I don't think it hurts arcades too much cause going to an arcade and playing against somebody is still a different experience than playing a rom. But what do I know?

OH NO!!!

Well, this is because Hong Kong people are too stupid and unethical to make money in an honest fashion, so they'll rape the good companies like Playmore of any profit by dumping roms and spreading bootlegs in the market.

I say we drop a nice H bomb on that fish stinky island and wipe out those bootleggers. Just about every industry, from clothes, to games, to music, to movies would celebrate when those fuckers fry.

If you take me seriously, send me a pm and we can schedule a meeting so that I can slap some sense back into you.

Why do you say that? This kind of news has always been posted?
And it's about fucking time that a company was serious about emulation. Evoga is already on top of it.

Yeah, Rotd has been spreading around since early this morning. /me waits for his inbox to get full up with requests for it.

As for KOF 2002, it is just a rumour that the rom is going to be released on that date. It wouldn't suprise me if it was though, because I'm sure it has already been dumped by someone somewhere. If it does get spread soon though, it will be pretty ridiculous... at least the home cart of Rotd was released before the rom got released

Actually companies like Nintendo and Sony have always done a lot against emulation... they've maybe a little too heavy handed at times in fact.

Anyways... there is only so much Playmore can do - roms will spread around no matter what they do, unless they manage to come up with some really serious protection that takes a lot longer to crack (if that's possible on the Neo).

almost everywhere around here. There's only a group of people who are true to the Neo.

These kind of news piss me off.

Just look at the the topic on the warroom on why I hate roms, and that should open your eyes.

Also if you look at the collection pages, most of those people never post around here. Only a couple.

Depends on what you mean by "true to the Neo". I have an MVS/Supergun and I've been playing Neo Geo in the arcades since about 1991... but I do have emulators on my PC. I could lie and say that I haven't, but I'm not going to. I don't really play any roms seriously anyway - for some reason it just isn't the same as playing them on the real machine. I wish more people could see that though... unfortunately too many people around today only know the Neo Geo through emulation.

Very true, thanks for you sincere words.

I dislike all forms of roms. What I meant with true to the neo is people who really appreciate the system. There's good members around here who are cool and everything, but most of them are bunch of asses who play roms or INFERIOR ports.

If people can't afford to spend the large amounts of cash most Neo Geo carts cost then I can definitely understand them playing ports of the games. The ports are usually nowhere near as good as the Neo version, but at least if they buy a port they get to play the game and also give some money to Playmore/SNK (which is the most important thing... otherwise they will go bust and we won't see any more games).

I can also understand (to a certain degree) people who play roms... but what I REALLY REALLY hate are the people who wouldn't even consider spending a penny on the games they play. They are always the first ones to bitch when a game isn't up to scratch or whetever, even though they didn't pay a penny for it. Most wouldn't even consider popping a couple of credits into an arcade machine given the chance.

I'm not trying to paint everyone with the same brush... but you really wouldn't believe some of the moronic emails I get sometimes as a result of running my site. I always try to help people with stuff if I can and I enjoy doing that... but sometimes I get nothing but rom requests in my inbox, and a lot of those people seem to think it is my duty to tell them where to download free games... I kid you not
