Well people, I won bang bead from Adol on ebay recently.

I heard that some people would like to see this game playing due to its extreme rarity.

Big Bear was talking about me reproducing this game, making my purchase an investment.

Well, this is indeed an investment or an asset, but for my particular collection, not to make profit out of it.

I love the neo like all of you, and thus, I will reproduce it ONLY for the sakes of the true neo gamers.

Thing is, I don't know how to reproduce it, if you tell me how, I'll toss copies to true gamers interested by only asking for the reinburse of any expenses generated.

Anyone's in?

I dont think it's currently possible, but I could be mistaken.

This game is available, so it's not like collectors can't easily buy it.

So I wouldn't worry either way.

However, if your serious, I'll write this to someone who would know. We'll See what he thinks.

It would be expensive to reproduce... but, is Bang Bead going to be seeing a wide release? Or are there just these protos out there. If it is a true prototype I doubt it has a security chip, then what needs to be done is to dump the ROMs. From there they could be reburned on EPROM or standard ROMs and placed on sac or empty boards (Digikey?). Kanjifreak, I made a statement in the selling forum to the point of
"Good thing Kanjifreak won it and not someone who would copy it and try to sell it to the masses" That of course was a stab at Neo Geo Freak and them releasing a Bang Bead Home Cart... Hope you guys didn't get the wrong message there

Sorry to burst any bubbles.

Bang Bead is a full MVS release.
It is encrypted, or so I've been told by someone who owns it.

Its not a proto, its not super rare.
Its only hard find here, cause it was not released in the US. & it takes time for this stuff to filter out to sellers we know.

Ganryu was the same way, it was hard to find for less than $600 for a long time.

Now you can pick it up for less than a $100 easily.
I imagine BangBead will be the same. Just takes time.

I don't care because I got mine for $300 shipped.

300 is a fair going price.
Personally,im waiting for it to drop a bit further, but thats me.
IMO paying 200-300 isnt bad to get the game a little earlier, if thats what u want.

I just feel sorry for anyone that payed 500+
thinking this was a rare proto.

I feel sorry for kanjifreak. I think Adol probably got his Bang Bead from the same place I got mine. I would never pay a $1000 for a game. But I was happy to pay $300 right now and get the game earlier. And about the prototype subject, the real prototypes don't even have roms in them. They have 2 boards with 2 memory cards on each board and an emprom on each board. The memory cards can be taken out of the cart with ease and edited. Chris Ray showed me one of the real prototype carts. And also if it was a prototype, why would there be a complete set of artwork and a box. If Adol made a $700 profit off his Bang Bead, good for him. I'll never sell my Bang Bead.

Well if you dont mind my asking, how much did you pay?
Ive heard of plenty forsale at around $600.
Which IMO is kinda a crazy price, but typical of the 1st couple a months of a new release.

I think Sengoku 3 is selling at the 600 price point. It'll drop to half in a couple a months.

I got the last copy from a store in Spain. I'll post the email of their sales department. Maybe they could order more Bang Beads. The game itself was 50000 Ptas which is around $275 and shipping to the US was $25.

Isn' t that a Multi Game Doctor 2 (MGD2) cartridge that you are describing here ?

No, it is 2 original mvs boards, but with 2 memory card slots and a eprom on each board. But instead of the normal 3 or 4 roms on each board, it has the 2 memory cards. It's made by SNK and that is what they use when programing their games.

Hey Kanji, we've all over paid for things, they make us more careful in the future... sometimes:

Waku Waku 7 MVS $150
Aerofighters 2 MVS $120
Metal Slug 2 MVS $180 (one went on ebay the next day for $60)
Master of Shoygi MVS $150 (saw one a week later for $25)

Need I go on. I know you payed more than I did for these items, but in the end it all evens out... You can always try and sell the game to recoup your lost... Adol put a buy it now for $1000 and you bought, maybe someone else will do the same if you post it. In the end it is not what you paid, but if you are content with what you got for the money. I have never been mad because I know that the games I buy are real (sometimes the cheaper ones are not) and come from reputable sellers that will not rip me off. Anyway, best of luck to you,

-Nick

Overpay?

Dude, I really don't care about cheaper shit somewhere else, as long as I am happy with what I bought, I won't care about cheaper places or vendors.

Bang Bead is Bang Bead

Well said Kanji. If your happy with what you bought, why does it matter how much you paid? In the end, whether or not your happy with what you bought is what counts.
