I'm sick and tired of having to watch as others in the neo commmunity get to have tournements and us folks in MI and other places seem to never have anywhere to challenge each other or get together and talk about the neo. I know that they're some members here who are from MI and surronding areas so lets say we have out own little tourney, I'll be fun!!

Heh... this is surprising... I'm in Indiana, so if something is organized in Michigan, I just may be able to go. It sounds great.

Shit, And I'm all the way in this hellhole. I wish I was still in Milwaukee, then I could just fly over the lake and play some KOF with y'all.

Damn! I would go to this too, and I'd probably drag Verbatium, 16-bit, and Vince with me! Let's make it happen!

It doesn't matter to me where it is. We should see how many people are interested and find out some locations before we can come up with where it's going to be.

What games should we all look forward to playing?

Shit, I'm down for a tournament at KoF or Garou: Mark of the Wolves. The only place I've seen MotW is in Flint's Twilite Zone's Arcade. Man, I've been waiting for this moment for a very long time. KoF'98 all the way. I can talk to this one guy I know from Flint which has KoF 2000 on MVS. I could ask him about holding a tournament with that game, but he perfers KoF'98. Joku, you should have told me about this thrend. Well, it's not to late. What Tournys did people have in mind. List the games and post back. I personally want Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Later

I know I started it but wherever you guys want to have a tourney I'm down. I just bought a Neo and have all the Samurai Spirits and have KoF for Dreamcast. SO wherever is cool, I'll go and maybe learn a thing or two, so someone step up, I know I started the topic but am to busy working to try to organze something. I'm in everyone say if they're going or not!!

RalfFan, what games for the tournaments did you have in mind. The only way I could think of holding a tournament is by renting a hotel or holding it at a persons house. KoF'98-99 is fine with me. I have Samurai Shodown 4 for PSX, that way I could practice for a sam sho tourny if we have one. The problem is around Michigan is that we have no arcades with Neo*Geo Games (except Wizzards that has Samurai Shodown 64 & Sengoku 3) in which they could host a tourny. Like I said in Flint, they have an Arcade with Garou: Mark of the Wolves on a tournament size cabinet (33 inch I think). That's just a suggestion. Well, just reply back about where or when we should have a tournamnet or what game it should be.

OK...
I have a home made 19" Cab 1-slot, and I'm trying to uy a 29" 1-slot soon If I get the 29" I will host a tourney here in Ludington...
However...
I do not hve KOF 95-2K, or MOTW so those would have to be brought or borrowed...
Buying this 2" cab is very dependan on my wife...so I have some sweet talking to do.
Anyways there is my Idea, any opinions please post.

-Thanx

Are we planning on keeping this strictly MVS?

If we are hosting it at someone's house, maybe there is a possibility of people bringing other systems. Perhaps maybe an AES or Dreamcasts? I've got quite the assortment of SNK games for Dreamcast and a few for the AES.

We could even go as far as having some crapcom games available (SF3, or MvsC) to keep us tied over until our turn at the MVS.

Just a suggestion!

We could have a Capcom vs SNK tourny but, it's a capcom game after all which I hate because all the SNK characters don't have their moves. SNK vs Capcom "Match of the Millenium" Tournamnet would be nice if someone had a 2 Neo*Geo Pockets with Link Cable. Just another suggestion. My friend has King of Fighters '94, '95, '98 for the MVS. It sucks in Saginaw because no one here likes SNK/Neo*Geo games except me and my one friend.

Ok the games to play at the tourney could be Samurai Shodown 2, 4? and KoF 98(i'm picking it up today) or whatever games the rest of you are interested in. As far as location or place it really doesn't matter, it could be at someones house, arcade, wherever. By me their is no arcades with anything SNK and my house is too small for any tourney. So wherever you want its cool, Kim shoot me some ideas about what you are others have in mind then we'll go from their.

Hey, everyone!

I'm in the Chicagoland area, but as long as I know when it's going to happen and I can make myself free from work and other summer obligations, I'll make the drive to Michigan to play neo geo with some other hardcore neoholics. Hell, I'll even bring a couple of people with me .

I have three home cart systems, and I'm willing to bring one, both of my original arcade style controllers and any games people would like to play. I have all the Fatal Fury, Art Of Fighting and King Of Fighters games on home cart and Samurai Shodown 1 and 2. I also have Last Blade 2 for DC, and I saw someone mentioning CvS so I could bring LB2 along as well if anyone's interested. And I'd play CvS if other people were willing, yup yup ! Since I preordered CvS Pro, I'll have that handy as well in case anyone wants to see how badly Capcom screwed up Joe Higashi !

Anyway, this all hinges on how much time I have to prepare and when everyone decides to have it. But given enough advance notification, I think I could swing it. I think it would be a lot of fun, and definitely a summertime activity I've never indulged in before.

I'll be watching this thread .
