Don't count on it.
Thats probably the MVS release date.
Expect any home cart to release 3-6 months after the mvs version.
If at all.

It was updated yesterday or today I forget which.

Are you sure that's not Sengoku 2001? Because I heard of that game being released on home cart soon. And if it were KOF, it would either be in romaji or katakana.

Sengoku 3 is actually on schedule for a 26th October release.

It's referring to Sengoku III. King of Fighters 2001 won't even be out in MVS format until November, and the twenty-sixth and the twenty-seventh are referring to the same date. Take the time zone differences into account. The same confusion happened with the Dreamcast Garou: Mark of the Wolves release date. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

That was, taken from SNK page, a little down after what Holic pointed out. So yes its probably the MVS, not the Cart version.

I used altavista's translator on that paragraph & it really did look like it might be referring to a home release of KOF 2001 on Oct. 25th... I guess its just how the translator words it in English that makes it seem that way

It's Sengoku 3 home cart, Sengouku Denshyo 2001, in Jp, the first word is war or battle, second word is country or state, third means passing (of story, skills, trades), last word means legend

I knew right from the beginning that SNK wouldn't be releasing King of Fighters 2001 until the end of November (well before I came to this topic). Thanks for the clarification, vincewy.
