I would seriously be interested in this device! This unit would be unique IMO & slow cartridge converting down considerably.
I really hope they re-consider manufacturing this device and 'OPEN' a better line of 'COMMUNICATION' with everyone on what needs to be done to make this AES-II a reality!
The AES-II would really put !ARCADE! on the map!! DO IT and cut the middle man out!! Sell this device directly from your website!
This AES2 will have a Jamma interface as well correct??

I'd DEFINITELY be interested in one, too. At some point, I'd like to buy an MVS converter and mod my system with more up-to-date stereo and visual hook-ups. Just release some more information about it, though. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

I think flip-flopping is very unprofessional.

!Arcade! said in not so many words 'We're not making one because of negative response.'

Now they're saying 'We'll consider making if people sound like they want it now.'

People had genuine questions and criticism.
As a professional you are always subject to criticism...10 times a day someone is critical of one of my projects. That's part of the game.

As much as I'd hate to agree with Caris, this feels a little like ego-building before they'll consider construction.

I see the value of gauging market response, but at this point...I don't know what sort of change they're expecting to hear. It will be the same positive comments, the same negative comments and the same indifferent comments.

They said that they're going to focus on the specs more.

I doubt people were confused about that issue.

The only thing I personally think would make someone jump ship from negative to positive or indifferent to positive is this sense of "!Arcade! is giving us a second chance."

I was one of the positives, I said for a reasonable price (my reasonable was a lot more than most's...$500) I would buy one, but I would not commit until I had a price.

Now I don't think I want one at all.

well so far on this topic I don't see any responses From 'Arcade' Currently I'd definately be willing to shell out the bucks. But not if there just going to leave us to sit around and sepeculate for the months to come. We already know 'Arcade' Reads our post here. So why dont they respond. I no doubt want the system. but if dont don't comferm this thing Now while the topic is hot, and not wait months and months like last time then they can count me out.

I'm tired of the wait I want AESII answeres; and not to be jerked around for another 2 months.

I probably wouldn't buy it until someone (or about 20 someones) come on here and say it works well and is cool. At pretty near the cost of a neo cab with a 4 slot board (if you are lucky and look in the right places) this thing will cost a chunk of change. The only thing it has going for it in that case is saving space, and that it will do. Well, we'll see...the thing may not be made at all, so its rather pointless to talk about it too much yet.

You know what the sad thing is:

!Arcade! will probably use this thread as an excuse to not make the AES II.

Or else they are using this as a delay tactic until they figure out why there is so much smoke when playing games on whatever prototype they might have.

That is to say if they even have a prototype.

Why have a AES 2, this whole thing seems so lined out.
I mean lets look into this scenario.
Fuck the AES 2, I have a SNK made neo.
THE NEO WAS MADE BY SNK, replicating carts via conversion, its BS IMO.
Now systems?!?!?!
