Actually, I'm glad to see that the interest is still there for these games even though SNK obviously is having financial troubles. The whole discussion of "SNK is dead" is also ringing in another wonderous forum, and it's funny to see how people who have no idea what's going on try to explain why SNK is having such financial difficulties.
Plus, it's also a hoot seeing them try to diss a game, especially when beta reports like this keep popping up. I don't know of any US arcades that would have people camping outside of its doors an hour early just to be the first to see a new game... not even big arcades like Golfland can claim that.
BUT, back to the actual beta reports... somehow, I think they may have gotten it right this time. ESPECIALLY with Bao, now that his fireballs don't go full screen. Maybe they will actually have this character do some actual combos that would make him a better in-close fighter than some annoying keep-away character. It's still too early to say with the game engine, considering that one can have up to 3 strikers on their team (how is THAT going to work)... but these reports and pictures help put back some faith in my mind for the KOF series.
They have a LONG way to go before this game proves to be as good as '98 or '96, but hopefully Eolith has taken care of everything and will do things correctly.
Now... if we can ONLY get a LEGIT response about a home cart... <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
