" SNK NEO GEO USA" - Opening in January 2002

Since Event Gaming let the cat out of the bag, I have clearance to release some info. Neo Geo's new name will be as such confirmed by Event Gaming for the overseas market.

In January, the U.S. office will be opening up with the new name of "NEO GEO USA." This may change by then, but as far as I've heard Kawasaki wants to keep "NEO" name as part of his new company name.

As I reported earlier, Kawasaki was planning on using Brezzasoft as the company name; however, he only planned to work with their product, the Crystal System, developed by Brezza, using a similar set up as the Neo MVS. SNK NEO GEO USA will be helping Brezza distribute the Crystals system also. The price for this new unit including the Crystal of Kings game, range from $450-600.00, which is inexpensive given that you're getting the motherboard and game.

In other small news, expect SNK vs. Capcom for the NEO MVS. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> I said "small" didn't I?

i think this was planed from kawasaki
long time ago,since snk could not serve new mvs,aes games anymore
at the end with a new company now and without aruze
this all will end good
looks like kawasaki is a real NEOGEO FREAK..!

That's better! Crystal system? It's a piece of hardware developed by Brezzasoft for use with their new title Crystal of Kings. There's speculation that the Crystal system is in fact the next generation Neo Geo hardware, but that is not yet confirmed. For more Crystal of Kings info: http://www.brezzasoft.com

This is absolutly insane!!! What is it with all the news today? I can't beleive it all. I want to move out of my moms place soon, but with all this new Neo stuff I'm gonna be broke for like another year or two. Well I can always put college, and life goals off for alittle while longer.

if this is true it is eccellent news. however that is only if neo geo usa will not operate the way SNK always did and fuck everything up. it would TRULY suck to see the same shit happen over again.

Some more great news ... if they are true.
Kawasaki is a cool guy, the man behind lots of top SNK games in first part of Neo`s life cycle. Btw: Does anyone know where Nishiyama, the top SNK producer from `96 - `00, did go too? Is he maybe involved too?

And: As good as it may sound for us, SNK vs. Capcom does not make sense from the economical point of view. The title itself is outdated and only the true fans will recognize that it`s not the same than the one Capcom produced, for the majority of arcade gamers this will make no difference. But I`m open for surprises <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

A certain BigTymer is apparently trying to find out where the U.S. offices will be so he can have a picture taken of himself standing outside the building, and claim "He knew about it all along." He is also anxiously waiting to find out who the President of the company will be, so he can sneak into their yard and have a picture of himself taken next to their car, then claim it is his.
