Last night, I checked out the games I bought from Buyrite and I remember how you said they're just as bad as NGF. Well, 2 out of 3 of the games I bought from them have a Buyrite sticker on them (and so does my Neo system). I felt that there was no need to have them on my carts, so I decided to remove them. Those bastards used one of those stickers that says "VOID" when you remove them! But that did not phase me at all. I just took a little bit of Goo Gone to it and it easily wiped out that shit. I also removed it from the system and everything works fine. Now I know why you guys don't like Buyrite. They thought they could fool me, but since it's not an SNK sticker, I'm not gonne have any second thoughts for my actions.

What is goo gone and where can I find it?
Rubbing alcohol doesnt seem to completely work on those beasts anymore.

Goo Gone is a citrus-based cleaner which removes things like sticker residue and gum (among other things). You can buy it at your local grocery store.
I used this on two of my Neo games and the system. No need to worry about potential damaging. After I cleaned my games, I tested them and they work just fine.
You can also use Goo Gone one the cart cases and it will NOT eat away the plastic cover or harm the insert.

That's not the only reason we don't like BuyRite. It's also because they don't list their prices, and thus can seemingly change them with the phases of the moon.

Also, their prices are shamelessly high ($900 for MOTW, for example).

Aw man, you got off easy. I purchased a new copy of Evangelion 64 from them back when it came out. And, they used an ink buyrite stamp on the inside of the box. That really got my goat, and I've never ordered from them since.

Actually, I'm in the neighborhood of the store and the term you here a lot around here is Slimerite. Because if you keep coming back then sooner or later they will slime you right!

Now it's the time you people shouldn't trust online shopping. It's your best to keep your money save from Illegal garbage.¬_¬ Or whatever crap you find.

Disagree or agree with me?

Buyrite is a rip off...
The first time I order Neo Geo CD games from them they charges me for 15 games and only sent me 12 games
when calling them back they kept transfering me to their shipping department which no one answers and then finally the person said he would call me back but never did and from then the phone just went unanswered. they still owe me money

BTW - "NEVER!!!!" buy a used cd game from them - they put a sticker ring on the picture surface of the game and it just ruins it for you.

So how was your shipping method from BuyRite?.
I once bought a new Rockman Forte cart from them and it came in a large USPS box with NO bubble wrap or shipping filler.
The cardboard box for the game was beat to shit.
And the box had their stamp on it on the top inside fold of the box.
Never bought from them again

Sadly, this isnt just a matter of trust-with rare systems like the NEO,there is NO WAY around online shopping.

Next month,i will be able to tell you about my shopping experience with !Arcade!-sometimes you just HAVE to jump into the water to find out how deep it really is.

Forums like this are such great help-
you can bet i'll stay way off buyrite now!

Thx guys

Everything from Buy Rite was used. The only game that didn't get the sticker was Samurai Spirits II. Wouldn't make a difference since I have Goo Gone to back me up.

I bought KoF 99 from them when it was new, and I had no problems. It came in a big box with a Neo Geo logo on it (probably a box SNK ships groups of games in to middlemen). The game was fine when I received it with no damage. I did have a problem with a conflicting address (I wanted it sent to school, but the credit card's address is my parent's house), but that was my fault. If you do order something and call them on the phone, just keep pressing "1," and you will be able to talk to someone.

I have heard many horror stories about buyrite though. Shipping delays, wrong items, and now void stickers. I won't do business with them anymore unless I'm really desperate.

Make sure you scan through your manuals if you have'nt already.Buy Rite has dealt with NGF in the past thus sharing their business practices & philosophy.
Anybody 'OVERPAYING' for an item from them deserves exactly what he or she gets....
and if I read any recent horror stories from any of you...I'm going to reply 'DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMETHING YOU ASKED FOR'

I'm one step ahead of you on that one. Sengoku doesn't have a manual, but the insert is definately an original. I checked out the manuals for SSII and FFS and found no stickers at all. The same goes for inserts, so I lucked out big time.

Don't get me started... Not to sound big-headed, but I actually coined them BuyWrong over a year ago.

They sent me a defective (but 'new') Metal Slug X cart. Then, after I shipped it back to exchange it for another MSX, they said nothing was wrong with the cart (maybe they're deaf too and couldn't hear the screwed up sound). They also said I'd have to pay for shipping to return the same defective cart back to me.

Since I paid for the cart C.O.D. I couldn't call my credit card company to dispute this so there sat my money and bad cart somewhere on BuyWrong's premises for three months!

I contacted BuyWrong several times but the idiots wouldn't budge. Then I called and wrote to the BBB but they couldn't force BuyWrong to do anything. Then, after nearly getting in my car and driving 600 miles to 'greet' them in person, I wrote a letter to North Carolina's Attorney General.

Less than a week later, I had my MSX replacement.

I'm a patient guy but, after three months of dealing with them (especially considering the price and rarity of the cart), this could've been ugly.

Needless to say, I've never (and never will) deal with them again.

Wow, you mean buywrong actually has items in stock? Every time I call them they never have anything they list on their site in stock, and I'll call with like 15 items (which they'll put me on hold for 20 minutes to look for on my long distance phone call), bastards . I have also learned of the greatness of National Console, as they rock in so many ways, including niceness .

Ah Buy Rite, you know I remember in the early 90's when they were actually one of the best places to order imports from. Now they just plain suck! I really love NCS. Also everyone should check out Tronix. I've dealt with them for years, it's a really great company. Unfortunately they don't carry Neo games anymore, but have everything else. I believe this is the site:

Buy-Rite would always treat me like shit on the phone, so luckily I never actually got that far in ordering shit from them. I'd have to say without a doubt NCS are the champions of import/online video game retailers.

Thank god! I was just about to push the submit button on my Rockman and Forte order from Buyrite when NeoGML (who I was talking to at the time) IMed me. He told me about Play The Games, so I figured why the hell not? And I went with them.

playthegames.com has some goodies but I don't recommend them.

I ordered two systems from them for past year and they didn't put any bubble or popcorn inside the box.......

My systems were like arkanoid ball bouncing back and forth during the shipping.......
