Apparently, there's a story for Moe now in Arcadia Magazine (from MMCafe):

"Taking daily care of Kyo Kusanagi outside of Japan after his escape from the Nests cartel, Moe finds an invitation letter to the next KOF tournament sent to Kyo, and decides to enter with him and Benimaru."

So, two things here apparently:

1) They've actually bothered to integrate the character into the storyline, instead of having it just as a selling point (hey, look, new character! BUY ME!!!!)
2) Is this storyline total lemon bait or what?

has anyone even tried to think how you're going to play KOF on the GBA's DPad and button layout?
Alas, I'll probably buy it just to support SNK (or they're type of games).

Peace

I played KoF 99 and SFA3 a lot on the PSX, so playing with a D pad and some shoulder buttons isn't new to me. I did think about it though, and don't like the set up, but it looks to be a very nice game.

As for Yuki, didn't she die in KoF97?
remember 98 was a dream match.
She had to be sacrificed in order to release/awaken Orochi because she was one of the 8 maidens - the Kushinada. She wasn't present afterwards.

In KOF2000's Kyo/Iori ending, you see a picture of her. I don't know if that means anything, but they never said anything about her dying in '97, Yashiro just said they were going after her.
The way I read it, had the New Face Team abducted and killed her, then Kyo, Iori, and Chizuru wouldn't have had a chance of stopping Orochi.

To be honest, I'm not too sure - I'm working from memory, but didn't the sacrifice of Yuki (the eigth maiden) have to occur before Orochi would awaken?

I figured that Yuki's last power was given to Kyo to help Iori seal off Orochi after the awakening.

Of course Chizuru was there for emotional support - not like anyone should let her fight and blow it.

ok, kof 97 the picture of yuki flashes and you hear her say something..my japanese isnt that great, but i think it was along the lines of "ill wait for you".....

in 2k, her picture flashes again before kyo fights iori, while slipping his gloves on, as kind of a rememberance......however....if you look at the kof2k1 team stories, benimaru and goro are reunited with kyo finally, and benimaru says something that kyo should go see yuki to make sure she knows he is ok.....im pretty sure, i dont feel like looking it up again, but its not hard to find for those interested...

i think snk had clear intention of yuki dying....you can always check drama cds, though they arent offical, they stick with the major events pretty well...well, though snk might have meant for yuki to die....as thats what i believe happened in 97, it seems eolith had another plans, and she didnt really die.... crazy

keep in mind that we, as non Japanese speakers, are only given translations, and extremely rough ones at that.

The win quotes and cinema takes from KoF 2000 are not really even translations of what's said in Japanese. It's like they just hired some guy ot make shit up.

I heard $150 USD, which is okay, since a new GBA is $90, and this one will have the Kyo and Iori symbols on it. But honestly, I'd rather buy a $60 used milky GBA and the KoFex boxed cart for $40. Why pay more?

also, benimaru may have meant that kyo should visit her grave, such as andy does in the FF team's intro in kof2000 i believe, because many people will actually visit a relative or loved ones grave to "tell them how life is" basically.
