Metal Slug X is coming to PS!!!

So happy to see Metal Slug X is coming in 1/25. SNK cancelled this title from 1/25 to TBA last year and it shows again on NCS import playstation list in January. Happy~~~
Just want to see how good it is on PS (I'm so nervous)

Fingers are crossed very hard. I've been wanting X for a while and held out for this port. I guess I'll have to settle for it no matter what since the cart price is too steep.

I played Metal Slug X on PS last May at E3... it looked great and was playing pretty well too. It is not Arcade perfect, a lot of animation is missing... but it deffinetly is not bad at all. I am excited to here that this is back on the release list... so will a lot of my friends who do not have Neos, but love the slug series (mainly because they play the crap out of it on my MVS).

I wouldnt hold your breath, The game has been pushed back like 4 times I think. It was supposed to come out last summer even i think...

Even though it's not Arcade perfect (on PS? There is no way you can get arcade perfect!), I'll buy it anyway. I support SNK game on every console~~~

It's also listed on the Japanese Neo Geo web page for a release in January... but they're saying 1/21/01 instead of 1/25. I'm guessing that it would probably take a couple of days for a company like NCS to get the games from Japan to the US after making their initial order.

Somehow, I think THIS time it will happen... however it would be really bad for SNK if they pushed back this title any further.

Just curious about this - the original MS as far as I know got three CD 'ports' - NGCD, Saturn, and PS ... from what I hear the NGCD and the Sat ports were pretty close (I have the SS port with a 1M cart), but the PS version was ... lacking ...

Anyhow - for those of you (un)lucky enough to have played the PS version - how does it compare to the arcade? I'm pretty happy with my Saturn version and aside from the loading time (not too bad, although the juggling chimp gets on my nerves sometimes ...) it seems nearly identical, there's some slowdown for some of the bosses though.

For what it's worth - MS has taken over my gaming life - I'm ignoring the DC and Sat in favor of building a supergun so I can play the sequels at home (relatively) cheaply ...

The PS version of Metal Slug was a joke, which is why I'm not thrilled about the Metal Slug X coming out on the PS. MS on the PS is a little slower than the arcade/saturn versions, and God forbid the irritating in-level loading (!). (The loading is like pressing "pause" in the middle of an extremely close Street Fighter game.) Also, the graphics tend to look a lot "smudgy" vs. the cleaner version of the Saturn and the arcade.

I ain't gonna lie- given the PS's history w/ 2D shooters, I'm not jumpin' in anticipation for this MSX, which is why I ended up buying the damn AES cart.

PSX Metal Slug X will have more options like Art Gallery and Combat School modes...Wooo~~ Can't wait to get it (10 more days). Let's hope SNK will do a good job for this version.

Im a bit confused with all the fuss, why don't you all just by a Sega Dreamcast and get the Neo Eeo Disc and the Rom disk this contains about 85% of known neo geo mvs releases including metal slug, metal slug 2 and metal slug x, and suprise, suprise its arcade perfect cause its actual dumps of the original carts.
