Although NitD is being advertised as the next official home cart release, I must admit disappointment at this announcement. Seeing that any non-converted NGH release will be subject to SNK-Japan's minimum standard pricing of $269 + additional property right costs by NGF + NGF profit, we will be looking at a $350+ game that looks to be far from superior in gaming quality. A higher price-tag for the US KOF2000 is justified due to the popularity of the game and the overall quality involved in SNK's flagship fighting series. However, anything short of Samurai Shodown 5, Last Blade 3 or, maybe, Sengoku 3 will not generate nearly enough fan attention to justify the production of a $300+ NGH release. While the collectible gamer market will accept any new NGH release, I look forward ONLY to GOOD new NGH releases. Had Diggerman been released officially, I would have passed on the title and will do so to any sub-standard Neo-Geo game. I strongly urge the community to unite in terms of finding an acceptable solution to ensure that GOOD games such as Last Blade 3 and Sengoku 3 make it out on NGH.

Sincerely,

Kale

I disagree with the "new" distinction. Phil was right regarding this term being used way back and I myself used it when first posting want ads. I suppose AES just became a keyword that was eBay-worthy. If the terminology is to be correct, I agree with Phil's distinction of this being the proper Neo Geo home cart marking as evidenced by NGH-serial numbers on the home cart printed materials.

Kale

Sorry, I should have clarified, but "Engrish" is not my first language.

By new, I meant "newly accepted." I know the NGH is present on older home carts, I just meant that people have accepted this as an appropriate term now and have started using it as opposed to AES. So solly!

Acronyms I think. Anagrams are words that are the same forward or backward.

Kale, I agree completely with your post. It makes sense to throw our support behind only the really great games, since the weaker ones will not have high demand and will discourage future production. I've played Diggerman, and really its just a joke, wouldn't have been worth the full cost of a new cart at all.

New carts that I WOULD support? As Kales says, Last Blade 3, Samurai 5, Metal Slug 4, stuff like that.

Not that I wouldn't mind seeing some of these others come out, but with the new "NGF" ripoff pricing added to the carts, and their ugly URL on the back, I'm not interested in their future "exclusive AES" releases.

I want World Heroes 3/4 or whatever they'd call it!

Although, it's true, and most of us will admit it right away, $3xx for a turd game few will buy will destroy the system faster than anything, esp. given how things are at the moment, and will leave a bad taste in people's mouths, wallets, with the companies & all the rest of it.

This system has largely been about Q U A L I T Y and that's why we continue to enjoy new releases. So, why not keep up the standard? Neo·Geo is not nearly as popular as it used to be, therefore making a poor game at this stage, hoping to profit of the machine's popularity, good name or what I don't know, can't be of any real value to the system's future existence, says I.

Kiselgof is absolutely right. In the NitD threads, there has been much hand wringing about what to do. From the pics I saw, I would say the game doesn't look too promising. No matter how good it is, I would not pay over $200 for something other than an A title.

Let's make sure NCS or what ever legit business who can bring these carts knows exactly what to bring out.

Just like BioMotor_Unitron, English is not my first language. I'm speaking Chinglish.
Don't be surprise if you see a lot of grammer errors here.
I only buy JPN cart or old US carts. No NGF is allowed in my apt.

The games pretty cool, But it seems to be just a puzzler, And over 200 for a puzzler with a small meg count doesnt seem getting really excited to buy.

A game like SS 5 tho would be different
