Gauntlet on MVS?

Can someone please explain to me why Gauntlet Dark Legacy is on the SNK-Japan home webpage?

Although, if they could port it over for the MVS, that wouldn't be so bad...

SNK distributes Atari Games arcade games in Japan.... Thats why....

MVS is able to make graphics like that anyways. Thats more of a 3d game just from the screenshots.

Gauntlet The Dark Legacy would not work on the MVS although they could probably port it to the Hyper Neo·Geo 64, so hey!, there's a reason to bring it out of retirement.

GDL runs on a 3Dfx based arcade system.

Regarding 3Dfx- nVIDIA has bought them out. I wouldn't be surprised to see a GeForce based board being used by Atari Games for future releases.

Maximum Force was also brought to Japan by SNK, so the Atari Games/SNK deal has been going on for quite awhile.
