Chinese dumpers MrLee and Billyjr released KOF2001 roms today.

Just to make everything VERY CLEAR (we have some stubborn people around that just never learn):

----- NEO-0 IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ROM DUMP AND IS IN NO WAYS RELATED TO ITS DUMPING -----

Cya all

in all seroisness though, A game like this being dumped DOES steal $ away from Playmore, shawn, etc. So this is pretty fucked up. If you want to "try it" go to the arcades. I have to haul my ass to china ton every time I want to try A new release.

You want to know what's sick? The same group that dumped kof2001 is already wprking on slug 4, and supposedly a slug 4 dump is expected out for the public at the end of the week. The MVS cart isn't even widely available yet

For the most part I support the emu scene, but when they are pirating games that are still (or yet to be) for sale, that is sad :(

Romz can damage Playmore and videogames' dealers, but they have absolutely no impact in the collectors' world...
Bad news, anyway...

This is really sad.
I can't understand these guys. They say they "love" the Neo, but they don't stop stealing SNK, Brezza and all the good people trying to keep the Neo alive.
Well, all this has been said many times and it changed nothing.

Sad. The people who dumped the games must be really proud.

It is bad news for everyone, not just collectors. No profit means no more games.

That is some fucked up shit.

That truely bad part about this is not that kids can play roms now.

THe horrible thing is that now that is is dumped, bootleg carts CAN and WILLbe made. That is where Playmore will loose its money.

I cannot understand why they do not pursue charges against these individuals who, for all intents and purposes, build cases against themselves.

In related news, NGF is now selling Bang Bead carts... do the math.

Oh, and some of my friends who come over and get a kick out of my Neo Geo? They are like "oh boy, I can't wait to go download the emu now".

I heard this news today, and I didn't believe it... What makes me even more upset is that on the main snk ROM site... you know the one I am talking about... they said they will be posting Metal Slug 4 ROMs soon!!!! That is terrible, that game is wayyyyyy to new for them to fall on the conservation claim. I feel sad today :(

Daisuke Jigen: Actually, the roms were dumped from a bootleg cart. Some bootlegger apparently looked at the MAME source and reverse-engineered the decryption scheme... so 2K1 bootlegs are out there already. :/

That offended me quite a bit :\

I'm simply stating Neo-0 isn't responsible for it, since people love blaming neo-0 for all rom dumps around.

*I* myself have nothing to do it either, all I do is host neo-0 and run the EFNET channel.

I am sad for the company and the profit it shall lose, but as for me, I am happy to own the game since the real thing will always be much better. Besides, I do not play new games on emus ! I do not think that is fair.
Playmore should do a new encrypt method, or Rage of The Dragons will be next, right after Metal Slug 4 !!!

With those screwy sprites in those screenshots on their page, who'll want to download/play it?
