"Capcom has announced through Enterbrain Co.'s Famitsu magazine that their upcoming port of "Capcom vs SNK 2" for the Nintendo GameCube, will be titled "Capcom vs SNK 2 EO" (Easy Operation).

As the title suggests, "Capcom vs SNK 2 EO" will be a port of Capcom vs SNK 2, with an easy control mode selectable as an option. The easy control mode is named GC-Ism, while the normal/arcade control mode is named AC-Ism.

The GC-Ism allows the analog C-stick to be used as a short cut to special moves. By tilting the stick to a direction, a special move (including supers) will automatically execute. Tilts to different directions offer different special moves. The strength of the attack can be varied by the strength(angle) of the tilt. In addition, the GC-Ism allows the L and R buttons to be used for convenient executions of punches and kicks- the stronger the press of the button, the stronger the attack. The GC-Ism also offers Auto-guard when in neutral position.

"Capcom vs SNK 2 EO" offers an arcade mode, vs mode, survival mode, training mode, and color edit mode. Production of the game is already complete, scheduled for release in July- price undetermined. For additional images, check below."

Wow, this is pretty scrub like, but seeing how the GC is for kids its ok i guess.

Remember this option is only a choice. You can play normal if you want.

How does Capcom decide to put Resident Evil on GCN, then butcher CvS2 in this way? Is it for kids or not?

I personally don't think so.

At least the original modes are intact. No need to utilise the "Scrub Mode" although you know people will bitch about it. The same people that bitched about the endless continues on Strider 2, rather than exercising a bit of self control and not continuing every time they died.

I find it odd they didn't just simply make a arcade stick or something. Atleast you could still use the converter that enables you to use Dualshocks on the GC.

They have made an arcade stick. Do not have a Link to the picture handy, though.

I've reserved my arcade stick a month ago. No GC-ism for me!

I hope this doesn't end up like it does when I bring MvC over to a friends. I'll be picking my characters and then the mode (manuel) then my friend picks Easy(fool!) of coursee then he deosn't have to enter any commands at all, and just has to push some of the buttons repeatedly. The same thing happens with the C-Stick smash attacks in SSBM arghhhhh!. well I guess I'll just have to not let then use the Gc-ism mode, becasue It would be too easy for them to just start pulling of counters and other stuff.

The cross-key of the GC pad looks fine, the problem is the placement of the buttons for 2-D fighting games. The Joystick looks great... But I prefer the Hori Fighting Stick. HEHE!

No Need to Worry you know they will make a Fighting Type 3, 6 button Pad like they did with the Dc, and Ps2. At least I hope they will, then it's a Complete package, by the way which version are you guys getting, as for me Im getting the Import as soon as it Drops, Who's waiting for the US version?

I'm waiting for the U.S version because I don't feel like getting my GC modded.Maybe an import disk like the Dc-X will be released but untill something like that happens I'll just keep waiting for a U.S release.

Other than the GCism "enhancement", is anything being added for those that already have the DC and/or PS2 version(s)?
