This game is a betting game, similar to V-Liner, except you bet on horses. The animation in the horses is simply amazing. Silky smooth. Pretty much the same concept as Sega's Derby machine. Very addicting to play...if you're the gambling type. That'd be me!!!

I like the Slug 4 shots. That giant head reminds me of Sigma from MegaManX.

Do you know what that cable is for with the derby game?

When was it released??

According to metal slug the shots looks better than most of those I saw already...It's a good news.

Just a question about pictures.. Why aren't there any pictures of "Rage of the dragoons"??? Nobody got the idea to bring a camera or something like that the day of its test???!!

If so, how?
And when did this grand prix come out?
I havent even heard of it till now.
and jigen, im guessing the cable is for connection MVS machines or somthing, but i could be wrong.

The cable for the Jockey Grand Prix works as a "toggle" which when hooked up to the appropriate MVS cab, will release coins for your winnings. Jeff Kurtz might know more about this. It's basically the same cable used in V-Liner.

This game just came out about 2 weeks ago, but will not be widespread and unlikely to be released in the U.S. I had to special order this game to get it myself. I'm a gambling man so this game is right up my alley.

Well, are we both talking about the kick harness/data cable that comes off the top of the Derby cart?

I imagine it connects to a payoff mechanism, to give out "rewards" for winning players.

So how do you play the horsie game... pick a horse you will think will win, but some cash on the horse... watch a race and see if you win? It could be interesting, do you get to control anything or is it all Bet and Watch? Thanks for the picts, those MS4 picts look great!

Just a question for jockey grand prix: You said that you can win money if you bet on the right horse. You need to have a specific cab for that. Does SNK has ever released a cab of this kind and will playmore plan to do it?

Hey Trieminator, when everybody's stopped dribbling over those screen shots, how about a mini review?

I guess you've played the other four Slugs, how does it compare? If it's anywhere near as good as X, then Megaking have obviously done a good job.

Even now, after all this time, X is still throwing up new little suprises... it's great <img src="graemlins/glee.gif" border="0" alt="[Glee]" />

Oh, btw, apart from the new vehicles highlighted on their web site, are the original Metal Slug tanks in the game? <img src="graemlins/spock.gif" border="0" alt="[Spock]" />

Metal Slug 4 looks fantastic! It seems to be returning to its roots of killing army dudes instead of killing plants and aliens (not that there was anything wrong with that in MS3).

How long has jockey grand prix been out? How come nobody knew about it before?

As well, was v-liner an official game ? (i think not but i am not sure)

Are these game hard to find / expensive?

The metal slug 4 pics look awesome! Can't wait to play it :)

Both sets of pics are awesome, but that Grand Prix game looks pretty sweet. I hadn't even heard of it before this thread let alone seen a pic. Nice! <img src="graemlins/glee.gif" border="0" alt="[Glee]" />

i realy would like to play this game,but again ..i do not know what to think of ..it seems again not very original and inovative to me !!

most of the grafx are recyled...look at the second pic...it's from part one...final stage !!
the soldiers are like in stage two before you reach the boss coming up the wooden brigde,and even the brigde is as far as i can see exactly the same brigde from ms 1 !

the giant head, is it new one ? what happend to the robodoc from the trailer,maybe a transformation ?

and the zombies..the passengers from the airplane are there to ...hm...somehow cheap !!

and i think sure it will,but i feel a little sad,cause it looks like done with a construcktion kit !!
