I KNEW IT!!!

Radiant Silvergun, and then Sin and Punishment, and now Ikaruga - all the last big bangs on different falling stars.

Dude, ghostwalker, your site is quite well known. Good job.

Do you think you could give me a rundown of your opinion of the best shooters (hoever many you think are that notable... you have shooters on the mind, so I trust your recomendations). Lemme see... I liked Radiant Silvergun of course. Legendary Wings was a good one (The life system worked really well, so when you got hit, you didn't have to start at square one again with no powerups, and have absolutely no chance of completing the game), Space Manbow, Super Aleste was decent, Life force, Spriggan Powered is gorgeous, and from what I played of the Demo: Raystorm. I'm in such a shooter mood right now, but need to know what is the cream of the crop!

I have played so many shooters that I don't like... I'm sick of it. There are so many that just seem to be the same as any other... nothing exceptional about them... blah...

Oh, ghostwalker, about the hidden game Tiny Phalanx on the PSX game Zero Divide... there was originally a game called phalanx on the super famicom. I can tell by the way the ships look, they are related games.

Bow down, look at all you DC haters jacking off over this (if your not one, oh well :D ), like one game makes the system? It's already the best system, and I'll get this game too.... bwahahahahaha <img src="graemlins/loco.gif" border="0" alt="[Loco]" />

BTW Radiant Silvergun wasn't that great (not even close to it's hype), I hope this is better.

It's a real shame about the DC. I don't even own one (I don't own anything newer than an SNES, and even so, I just got that last year), but it really jerks me that this system had to go. It HAS such promise. Very capable of creating beatiful games. All I want is for a company to make a system, and dedicate themselves to making games for it for the next 10 years. It's a shame we will never know how far they could have pushed this machine.

Ikuraga is officially confirmed for a Japanese PS2 release (american pending), but no one else is reporting this about DC so i dont know. Don't get me wrong, i want this to happen on DC, but i'm a bit skepticla now.

Guys, the DC version is quite impossible for technical reasons. If the game is released, it will be a poor version but not the original one. The naomi system, even if it's based on the DC hardware, isn't a simple DC in a cab. It has more video ram and has specific fonctions. The DC won't support it. The PS2 would be better even if the DC should be the legitimate support of the Game.

The Naomi is a Dreamcast with more ram, it doesn't have any extra processor functions. DC critics were claiming that the system wouldn't be able to handle Crazy Taxi because the home system didn't have enough ram to replicate all the textures. I guess they were off on that one, and as far as load times, Ikaruga is a GD based game in the arcades, the minimal load times will be masked well just like they are in the arcade.

We all know how WONDERFUL Crazy Taxi is on the PS2 compared to the DC version, RIGHT?

This is a vertical shooter. This is not Dead or Alive 3 or Halo in which the ability of the DC are surpassed. Moreover, look at Treasure's track record. They do not release the best games they make on the "top" system.

That might be true for some slipshod company who has a rep for making lousy ports, but this is TREASURE. If they choose to put it out on DC, it will come out quite solid I'm sure. Their programming skills are world class!
