Just noticed that Kof 2001 is at number 20 on magicbox's japanese console game sales chart for Mar 11 - Mar 17, 2002

That's amazing really,

over 6,000 sold. who would have thought. makes you wonder if they will start meking home systems again as well. With number like that I would think we will be looking for more NGH releases comming soon.

Are you fucking nuts? Tons of DC games made it in the top 5, let alone the top 20. Even the small time DC releases like Milky Season and the shit by NEC made it into the top 25.

KOF is the neo's flagship most popular game, 6k the first week, ok, 2nd week it drops off the charts, yay world domination is at hand!

If Japan hates the Dreamcast like you say, then they must hate the Neo X100, cause thats the first neo release ive seen in some odd 5 years even make a blip on the radar.

let's try not to think as a collector all the time. There's more value to a game than the rarity. If you melted the cart down to the priciple elements it might be worth $0.87, you know.

I just don't like Neo Fanboys who wanna try and tear down other BETTER systems. I like the Neo, I own a fucking MVS, Hyper, Pocket. If I hated the Neo, I wouldn't play it, but it ain't the greatest system in the world, theres more average to bad neo games than there are kickass to awesome neo games.

The Samurai and Real Bout series are two of my favorite fighters EVER, but theres a lot of lame shit, besides MOTWs, all the 500+ neo carts are pretty shit, stuff like TSS, Kizuna (it's OK, but not all that), Ninja Masters is shit, metal slug is awesome, but not worth a grand, sorry, and the chicken dinner of them all, some fucking mahjong game people pay a grand+ for? lmao, what are they smoking?

KOF 2000 should have been the final KOF game, RIP, the series had a good run, and didn't lose any respect.

For me 2000 was the last real KOF game, I mean if Capcom went bankrupt, and some other company took the Street Fighter series, you think the capcom fans would be havin that? Hell no, at least not me.

I may get MOTWs on MVS "someday", but I really see no reason to now, cause the DC version plays the same, I use real arcade sticks, and my cab to play the DC version on (So I dont have any lame excuses that the DC pad sucks for fighters), so why do I want the mvs version? Even though its pretty cheap, why get it? If I have the money to burn someday yea I will.

But I'm not the type to jack off over a my game cause it has a US insert, I'm the type who "gasp" actually plays my games, and doesn't look at them thru a glass case. A

LMAO, both those games are in like their 6th week on the chart....

That's like comparing when sega japan dropped the dc price to 99 dollars in yen, it sold more than PS2 and any other system that week, pretty moot point.

and their both sold over 150k each, kof2k1 won't break 10k, everyone that owns a neo and was gonna get it, got it, thats why its even on the countdown, cause neo fans were hungry for a game.

This is cool, kof2001 is getting lots of attention. It gets a review on gamespot and sells well in its first week in japan. I know it isn't much compared to the exposure that high profile games for other consoles get but i can't think of many other systems that lived this long and are still getting attention like that.

My next wish is that they make a playstation 2 version. I don't like the psx2 too much but it could help playmore / brezza / eolith to make more money, that would mean more money to put into kof2002 development (or in other games!)

Oh well, things are looking very good this year for the neo, this makes me even more happy to get one (like in a week or two, finally i'll have my mvs).
