I'm looking for a straight pass-through converter for playing US Super Nintendo carts on a Jpn Super Famicom system. I'm not interested in any of the GameShark-type converters that are incompatible with certain games. I want a converter that will work with all US games.

Post, PM, or e-mail. Thanks <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

It doesn't come with A/V cable and AC adaptor....

You can use US SNES A/V cable, but AC adaptor doesn't compatible.........

Well that sucks. I e-mailed the webmaster to confirm what you said, and if it were true that I want my order canceled. How can they list it as brand new and then not mention the lack of AC adaptor and A/V cables at all? Lame.

What's a good price for a brand new one? One sold on ebay today for $185. It was new and mint, but that's a bit high I think.

Brand new Super Famicom's did not come with power supply or video cables, neither did the AV Famicom, and that Super Famicom on E-bay was mine, and I think it was too high, I was going to list it for 115.00 shipped Buy-it-now, I even said so in the auction but I didn't because I get a lot of non paying bidders that way, in fact even put one up here same price in the selling forums, and no one took it. :( The power supply is 10V 850ma center negative, same type jack as a Genesis power supply.

You don't happen to have one still for sale do you? I'd take it at your asking price.

I still don't understand how a brand new video game console can come without a power supply and A/V cables. Where did you get the ones that you included with your auction? The A/V cables are no big deal, since the GameCube cables for sale now are a perfect match. But no AC adaptor? What the hell is that?

thirdkind, I know how you feel but it's the fact that some JPN consoles don't come with those accessories.

Mega CD doesnt' come with AC adaptor and SFC console doesn't come with AV cable and AC adaptor when I bought brand new. Both manuals mention that those accessories are "sold seperately"

Keep in mind that US SNES AC adaptor will not work on SFC and SFC Jr.

Make sure SFC AC adaptor requires Output: 10 V, and I've found out that Naki AC adaptor (9 V) will work perfectly on Mega Drive 1&2, Famicom, SFC, and Neo Geo AES :)

Wow. Odd.

I have a Naki 9V 1.2A adaptor. So that'll work with the Super Fami without any problems?

A/V cables are no big deal, since I can pick up some GameCube S-video cables and they'll work just fine.

Yes, the one you have will work perfectly
Guess what, it's hard to find official SFC (JPN) AC adaptor nowadays......

I assume controller extension cables made for the SNES are compatible with the SFC? They're pretty easy to find on ebay right now.

it'll work.
I normally sit on my sofa and play my SNES across the room but I have to sit in front of TV set in order to play my SFC......damn short cord.

But SFC controller is better than SNES one. You'll find out when you get your SFC.

I'm thinking to get wireless SFC controller.....only $25 each.
