KOF 2000 to hit the DC?!?

Alright I got this from a dutch forum, and a korean guy there transelated it that KOF 2000 will hit the DC this summer acording to this site:

I mean it is possible, they released KOF 98,99 for the DC and since KOF 01 is out they should port 00. I would get the game thats for sure

You've got to be kidding me. An old post, that was dug up, I believe. The last KOF game to be released on the DC was King of Fighters Evolution, which was basically 99 with a few additional features, 3D backgrounds, and the CD soundtrack. It's not a bad game to pick up, better to import it, though.

The last KOF released for another system was KOF EX for GBA. We're holding out and hoping for a new KOF on a mainstream system, but I'm doubtful on this.

May as well just save up and buy the games on the homecartridge or MVS. I'd further endorse the Saturn, PSX, or CD versions, but they have this extremely annoying tendency to restart the background music after EVERY round. Of course, KOF 99 on PS1 doesn't suffer this, it just suffers in many other areas.

The sad truth is, if this release is real, it's a pretty bonehead move indeed. As magnificent as the Dreamcast was/is for 2D, the reality is Playmore is cruising for a financial bruising by choosing it.

How many bonehead moves do you think are going to occur? I mean, why sell "best of" for LB2 and MotW? Just to get rid of old stock? These game have to be selling. Maybe not here in the US, but in asia at least.

i luv my dreamcast as i do my neo . the dreamcast will be with me till the end...hell i have a xtra one never opened, just in case my first gets sick..No the dreamcast is not dead...I think thats like saying the neo is dead...get some jap. imports for the dreamcast.

If its just a straight port,i will not buy it as i have played kof 2000 to death at the arcades.I hope they add cool 3d backdrops ala kof evolution with some new stages.They should also add some new features to kof 2000 IF it were to come out for the DC.They should add all these features just to make up for the super long delay of the game.

Its not a bad move, all the PS2 ''lovers'' won't even buy KOF 2000 becouse they only want 3D stuff like FF,Tekken and GT. I think if it will be released on the DC allot of people will get the game, I mean if the other ports sold good this will sell probably aswell. It would be nice if some1 transaleted this...

those are my exact feelings as well. they should make it, it should be A great money maker over seas (the arcade that had it in china town made A SHIT LOAD of $ off that game, it was the most popular title there) then they should bring out kof 2001 soon after.
I have almost all the neo ports on dreamcast. if these are released I will pick them up just like I did with KOF, MOTW, last blade, etc.
I just hope they use 3d back rounds again (the progamers got better on 99 evo) and arrange the sound track again (I couldnt stand listening to the AES drivel on my DC in last blade).
I say, better late than never. just because there is A "2000" in the title does not mean that its not A great game that will sell.

It's pretty official-looking by my observations. Considering it IS Playmore's site and all... The KOF2K-DC page just goes into a short spiel about the game's features... Active Striker, Another Striker and all that. Typical promo stuff. The white sidebox talks (vaguely) about the Nests plot which began in KOF99, and mentions the new characters... ending with a promise of an arcade-faithful translation.

Nothing too special, but I'll probably buy a copy nonetheless.
