SNK games on Dreamcast...

I am so happy that SNK has made a few titles for the Sega Dreamcast. As an owner of both systems I love to get a chance to play the SNK games on a different platform, especially one as powerful and beefed-up as the Dreamcast. I only hope that they continue the trend and release more games for the system, so far Capcom vs SNK is my favorite DC game I own. I was thrilled to finally get to slam my friends who prefer Street Fighter to Fatal Fury. It was a rush to destroy my friends 'ultimate weapon' M. Bison with my personal SNK fave, Geese Howard. I wish Wolfgang Krauser would have been resurrected for the game but maybe the second time will be the charm. I can't complain anyway... I mean hell, Raiden (i like to call him Big Bear) made a surprise appearance on this title, and he was an old Fatal Fury Special fave of mine as well.

I like the SNK Dreamcast games as well.

I own the import KOF DM 99' and KOF 99' Evolution. I also have Last Blade 2 pre-ordered, I just HOPE snk made the game perfect or better than the arcade, Since they KINDA let things slip with the character animation in KOF Evolution, Even though the backrounds were amazing.

Now all the DC needs is Mark of the Wolves and Metal Slug 3..

Like I say before in other forum, Japanese DC has really good collection of SNK and other cool games in hand. Even though it's better than nothing, but I am disappointed with the KOF 99 Dream Match and Evolution by comparing to Namco's Soul Calibur and TTT. I know they are different fighting games but I think SNK can do better than that. Like I say before, it's better than nothing. Maybe I'm too picky......

I am all for SNK dreamcast games. I mean, hell, when they dropped the neo cd they were supposed to continue to support the DC and release cd version of games on in anyway. I hope they will keep doing that, although it looks kinda bleak right now.

I have King of Fighters Dream Match 1999 for my DC (The reason I bought the system was for the 2D fighters) and from what I know it's a very good port. Nice added anime intro....even if you own a KoF '98 MVS, AES or CD, I say the DC game is almost worth it just for the intro. If you're a Neo-Completist (and I know you have money to spare). Plus, it can link up with the Neo Geo Pocket! Yaaaay!

I know this is off subject, but since I'm a diehard SNK fan I have a complete collection of all the KoF games for the PSX, Neo, and the DC. I like the cover art on the PSX games, but I usually play the Neo versions of em'.

the best thing about dc is some of the rare more expensive aes games are out or coming out...I brought twinkle star sprites about a 9 months ago from nscx and its pretty cool...now with last blade final edition comining out my snk collection for dc will be complete.( with the exception of cool cool toon?, any reviews on this) if you dont own a dreamcast it worth getting even besides all the cool snk stuff..later1

And don't forget the Cool Cool Ton /Jam for DC and NGPC. One of the most inviting games by SNK in the last years. (oh it's not neo, but who cares it's fun)

They missed the PC-Engine:

Fatal Fury 2
Fatal Fury Special
Art Of Fighting
World Heroes II
... and I think World Heroes I and King Of Monsters also made it as well.

I DOUBT that the FM Marty had SNK games...

Heh. I wouldn't be so sure. I remember something vaguely SNK like for the FM Marty on sale on an eBay auction recently.

The FM Towns Marty did have a few SNK games on it, actually. Fatal Fury 2 made it, along with (I think) World heroes. Fatal Fury is one awful mess of a game. Imagine trying to to a burn knuckle with a really shitty NES controller. It is somewhere betwen the Famicom version of Fatal Fury, and the SNES. It has half-assed graphics, and the control scheme of a dead mule. It is not even something to pay 5 dollars for. It sucks that bad.

Actually, I believe InfoGrames is the one releasing it. Also, it would not be SNK responsible for the somewhat iffy ports of the two KOF '99 DreamCast games, but the companies that ported them.

I think they should have called Last Blade 2: Final Edition something else. Something like Last Blade 2: Final Cut.

A month or two ago I saw Samurai Shodown on the FM Towns Marty only nothing of the page was in English, and I was in too much of a hurry to bother trying to make out anything. So I really can't say anything more than who knows? It's possible.

The Dreamcast is a very powerful system. So far i got King of Fighters DreamMatch. Its pretty fun. This system is a fighting machine, but i have a Psx too but thats for personal use i only play rpg games like Final Fantasy or Chrono Cross. When i bring the DC i get my friends so we could fight. Right now im planning to get KoF 99 Evolution and Capcom vs. SNK. Maybe Last Blade too.

They need to get a Metal Slug collection or something like that going for the DC. You know they won't do it though. It's too cool and makes too much sense.
