I was sliding a poster back into the November 1996 issue of NEO GEO FREAK and since this was the Kizuna poster, I decided to look for that supposed photo of the arcade link-up version.

It's on page 92. B&W photo. Happy hunting.

But this doesn't give me the Gamest issue number...

I have Gamest #182 ( October 30th 1996 )which covers Warzard, VF3, X-MEN vs. Street Fighter, SFZ2 Alpha, KOF '96, Dynamite Deka, Super GT 24H, Ray Storm, DOA... And Fu'un Tag Battle on pages 206~209.

Page 206 shows a strange screenshot which gives you the choice between "1 Player Only" / "Player 1 & Player 2". The Japanese text near the picture seems to talk about the various possibilities ( "MVS" and the number "4" apperars twice in the text ).

But nothing on page 92. :(

The SNK double page ad is about Fu'un Tag Battle. I can't read it but it seems to talk about 4 players and the MV-1B motherboard.

I also have issue #183 ( November 15th 1996 ), but page 92 just shows b&w ads from various arcade game shops.

Fu'un Tag Battle is shown on pages 194~197 but there's nothing special here. The SNK ad page is the same as in issue #182.

I found issue #181 with 2 color pages about Groove on Fight but I don't have issue #184 :(

euh, I can try, but it's not that great or large a photo. Anyway I'm also out of web space, so if anyone would like to host it once I take the photo (soon), let me know.

Although actually, you know, any of you could just buy the issue yourselves, and admire that pic forever. Wowzers! Great idea, huh? <img src="graemlins/makeface.gif" border="0" alt="[Make Face]" />

LOL, that was just a marketing ploy!

Anyway, you are asking too much for FREAK issues. $20 - $30 per mag, most without posters is way high. I think there was an eBay auction not too long ago with a bunch of FREAK mags without posters and they went for around $10 per issue, still the general consensus was a bit steep.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, if they are part of your personal collection and your just interested in selling off an issue here and there I say go for it. :D

Actually, that was not a marketing ploy. This originally came up back in Jan. 2001, and it just so happened that now I have that issue for sale asshole. I could have said in the first post "BUY THE ISSUE PEOPLE, I'm not taking any pic!" so shut up.

Look, I really don't care what the fuck they went for on eBay in ONE auction (and what issues were they? Older or newer ones?). OF COURSE when you encounter a lot of magazines, the price is going to be less than if purchasing each of them individually.

If I'm asking more than you like, then bugger off and go find your own. I mean shit, they're just all over the place! If I have to adjust prices I will do that on my own, without the advice of some asswipe.

Because in the past I always decided to keep me gob shut.

finally decided to do away with that line of thinking some weeks ago. So really, I was like this a lot in the past, just never felt like typing it all up.

Last time I saw him that upset was when he responded to my delete suggestions post in the suggestions forum.

And fran's right..
You've gotta "tell it like it is."

Whether it's online or otherwise.

But you still have to be careful..
There's a time and place for everything..

Most ppl will respect you for it if it's done at the right time and place..

Is this another one of those instances where "Everyone is selling new Fatal Fury 3 homecarts for $20.00, that is why they are all sacced for conversion!" yet no one can actually point out such a deal? <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

I would link to the auction but in eBay's neverending quest to screw their customers they only store auctions for two weeks after their ending date now (used to be a month). That mag auction ended 3-4 weeks ago so it has since been deleted. There was a thread on it in this very forum, so you can search for that if you really need "proof". (EDIT: Just thought I would mention that this was not a "Bulk mags for a reduced price" type deal. The guy started like 50 different auctions for each of his FREAK mags, all for a $9.99 starting bid. 95% recieved only one bid (from the same guy no less) and the others raised to about $13 - $15. The only one I recall breaking $20 was the FIRST ISSUE (yes, his collection spread across the entire span of the publication, new and old) and it went for around $25. Not that any of this matters. Like I said in my original post, SELL THEM FOR WHAT YOU WANT!)

As for you Bomber Man, fuck off! If I had known you were so sensitive about your jacked prices I wouldn't have said anything but, like others have said in this thread, I have to tell it as I see it. You could have simply replied with a "Thanks but I think my prices are fair" or a "I have sold many at this price in the past so I am aware of the demand for these items" or a "You have a PM (then proceed to chew my ass out)". I just stated my opinion and even said I was cool with it if you had your reasons. You didn't have to resort to verbal abuse and name calling.

Check out the smiley in my post then read your second reply to mine. Practice what you preach you hypocritical asshole.

PS: Notice the LACK of smileys in this post.

PPS: That's what a marketing ploy is. You build up an interest, give a little taste then present your product.

PPPS: Time to move this thread to the War Room unless it makes a miraculous recovery.

actualy, he is correct dumb ass, I won one of those mags. more than half of A complete collection (in ner mint condition, with no NGF stickers inside) went at $10 A pop. there were no reserves, no buy it nows. its just that those mags are not in as high demand as you all think.
and Bio, your not really a dumbass, but dont jump the gun. I could never hate you (cause you post all those teletubies :D )

Here are the pages about Fu'un Super Tag Battle in Gamest #182 :

<a href="http://perso.club-internet.fr/s_bigot/tag1.jpg" target="_blank">Page 1</a> - <a href="http://perso.club-internet.fr/s_bigot/tag2.jpg" target="_blank">Page 2</a> - <a href="http://perso.club-internet.fr/s_bigot/tag3.jpg" target="_blank">Page 3</a> - <a href="http://perso.club-internet.fr/s_bigot/tag4.jpg" target="_blank">Page 4</a>

And also the SNK ad present in Gamest #182 & #183 :

<a href="http://perso.club-internet.fr/s_bigot/tag5.jpg" target="_blank">Top</a> - <a href="http://perso.club-internet.fr/s_bigot/tag6.jpg" target="_blank">Bottom</a>

There are other articles about Kizuna Encounter but they aren't very interesting IMHO. Also I'll do Groove on Fight ( Power Instinct 3 by Atlus ) scans if someone wants them.

Interesting, thanks for posting them. But I don't see the kanji for "worthless piece-of-crap game" in any of the articles, for some reason. Must have been a typo.
