International Forums - coming soon

Rather large German and Italian threads have been appearing in the General Discussion forum, this has not gone unnoticed. Our membership has grown to the point that dedicated international forums are required.

There are 5 new forums under consideration: German, Italian, French, Spanish, & Japanese, but we will probably only implement the top 3 in demand.

We would also need designated moderator(s) for each section. To qualify, you should be an active member who is fluent in the specific language of the forum. You should also be bilingual, English being your second language. Perhaps nominations for the new forum moderators.

If you have any suggestions for the International forums, now is the time to discuss.

However, I'm a little too new to take mod powers and haven't participated in the French threads. The size is just intimidating. ;)

I do applaud this initiative however.

lol I guess that's a good thing to see finally. I would say that it's a good idea.

Just I would hope some people don't get overinflated egos over it.

I actually think Gemant should be the gameplay mod. No other mod compares to him in sheer neo knowledge. Truly il neo dio.

there should be a front page to neo-geo.com that looks like the debug bios....then one could pick the language :)

Yes I am bilingual, though it is sometimes hard to fathom such a thought when the demons of French and English try to upperhand in my brain. I'll apply to the French moderator "role" and stick to it, if you like.

Yeah, it is a very good idea, that way we'll get rid of the infamous Italian threads, and also German and French. Maybe Spanish too, although we haven't started that kind of threads. Catalan forum would be nice too, but we are just too few and every Catalan knows Spanish too... <img src="graemlins/shame.gif" border="0" alt="[Shame]" />

Well, if you do the Spanish forum, definately I would like to be a mod there. I am absolutely bilingual: Catalan and Spanish, and English is my 3rd language. I think I master all three languages, and I am one of the most active members that actually lives in Spain.

Espero que nos lo pasemos muy bien hablando español en nuestro propio foro. ¡Viva España! I visca Catalunya també! :D

Oh well, I just noticed the French, German and Italian forums are already on-line, but still under construction...

So I gues that if we want a Spanish one we'll have to start a Spanish thread in General discussion, and when it reaches page 20 then all other forum members will be so pissed that they'll have no other choice but to let us have a Spanish forum.

Is that necessary? There has been quite a lot of demand for a Spanish forum in this thread. We feel discriminated <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[Crying]" />

I vote for Takumaji, too! He is a very active member here and a good man.

An the other hand I think there is no need for special German, Italian or French (etc.) forums.
