I can't wait to see Rock in this game, I want to see what they do to him. Though it will be a bit strange with him there.

i heard that capcom did not mess up rock howard and he retains all his moves from MOTW and he has that cool victory pose where a fire surrounds him forming the angel like shape which is also in MOTW(very cool).with the superior naomi version, god only knows how it would look!

I've seen Rock Howard in action on CVS2, and I can say that Capcom HAS messed up Rock Howard, sadly. Like all the other SNK characters, he is worlds different from his original MotW incarnation. The same thing goes for Hibiki, and ESPECIALLY Chang/Choi.

CvS has been, is, and always will be a Capcom fighter, through and through. The SNK characters in the CvS series, by Capcom, are adapted to a flaky Capcom fighting system. Capcom was not always this inprecise in making a fighter, but once they hit Street Fighter Zero/Alpha 3, it all started going downhill, in my opinion.

Don't go to CvS2, pick Rock, and expect to play like one plays in MotW. Don't pick Hibiki and expect to play like one plays in Dai ni Maku Gekka no Kenshi (Last Blade 2). You couldn't do that with Geese, Rugal, or anyone else in CvS1 either.

Capcom's spending their quality time bastardizing SNK characters for CvS2, and then when the game isn't heralded as the greatest thing since sliced Zero/Alpha 2, they blame the SNK franchise, and not their current lack of skill in making a decent fighting game. I am a fan of Capcom and SNK, but Capcom has recently forsaken everything they built up in the CPS2 days for bad 3D and even worse "2D".

I wish Rock was the same as MotW. But under Capcom's direction, that can never happen. Here's hoping the rumors about a SNK "CvS" are true.

It's people like "the black knight" that make me sad. You really don't like Capcom, do you? What's the big deal, I'm glad that he's in the game. So, how many hours did you play the game so far, BK? Fill us in....

If it played "just" like MOTW, then ppl would complain its the same thing. If it plays diffirently, then ppl complain also.

I agree with Black Knight on calling Capcom vs SNK fighting system flaky. The main problem is Capcoms thing of Blocked Combo Pressure trap crap which does'nt exist in KOF. You don't have a fair chance of hitting back after you block, Capcom pros will counter you if you try to work your way around it and makes me feel like I can't move and it makes me feel like I am playing an a real unfair game Tekken Tag(which they
are good at)where all you can do is watch yourself get juggled ,they good at going from ,BUTTON,BUTTON,BUTTON,BUTTON,AND THEY
SMACK THE BUTTONS UNTIL YOU ARE DEAD. Thats
why you can't play the game like KOF . Its
supposed to be about KOF pros vs SF pros , thats the way it should have been.
I can't do what they do back to them because
they are much faster at going from button to button. Its frustrating because I practice and practice at home, then when I go to Sunnyvale Golfland they still rush down on Me
with fat ass SF Alpha looking Balrog ,Blanka, dhalsim etc, and make me feel like I can't move( they keep on getting better and better) . It makes me disspointed that all the compettion popularity is not directed towards King of Fighters rather than Capcom fighting games. My King of Fighters skills just don't apply to CVS and that really sucks because I would have better chance at winning then losing every time I go to Sunnyvale Golfland USA. But I am not giving up yet, because SNK characters vs Capcom characters is the match I have been waiting for. I hope Capcom fixes Rock to be FAST and STRONG and I hope CVS 2 will be a better game for KOF pros (like me) to play than the first CVS.

Actually I can go on record and say he likes Capcom..a LOT. He owns a rather large collection of Capcom CPSII & CPSIII boards to which he plays the hell out of.

He was more towards the realist point about Capcom not really doing much to improve the engine design over the years. I personally want to play CvsS2 but, I know that the engine is going to have some SERIOUS flaws...

Well, color me stupid then. I guess we'll just wait and see what happens. It just seems like the opinions were very harsh, like the one complaining that Chang wasn't the way used to be. Well, call me crazy, but I think the Chang/Choi combo is a good thing (that is, if they HAVE to put the big fat ass in). I guess I just read that and figured he was an anti-Capcom dude.

Sorry,
Spike

To SNK Dude:

[snip a whole bunch of whining]

I see what the problem is. The problem is that you *suck badly* and are betting beaten by better players, so it's all Capcom's fault for your own lack of skill. Truly pathetic. It's good that you aren't giving up, but I actually would advise you to do so now and save yourself the trouble: If you were getting beaten badly in CvS, it's going to be a *lot* worse in CvS2. You obviously don't have the right attitude to improve, so why waste your time? It's going to all be Capcom's fault again.. LOL...

To Black Knight: You wrote a whole lot in your post and said exactly nothing. How about some details please? In what ways is Rock "messed up"? And "Don't go to CvS2, pick Rock, and expect to play like one plays in MotW" - Why yes, ignore the fact that the engine he's in is *completely* different than the one he was in before. Same with Hibiki. And of course Chang has been merged with Choi, so of course he's not going to play like his old self. Brilliant deduction Sherlock.

I don't blame Capcom since I plan working for them, If you read the last reply I posted to you on mmcafe.com I explained it. I do not suck I am just stuck in a tight situation and thats living in the central valley CA where CVS is not around any where.
Be more sensitive to other peoples feelings and not insesitive ,because nobody likes a jerk and I will not suck at CVS2.
