The game looks very nice if you ask me, and from the videos they show it looks pretty apparent the game is sticking to a 3d style of gameplay

man, I wish I could see those, but I am not a gamespot member...

the game is under ps2, is it ps2 exclusive? or just on the 246? or what?

I don't know much about arcade stuff, so bare with me please...

==============================================
EDIT: IGN's ps2 section also has these movies, but again on insider, just incase your a member over there instead of gamespot.

they have 4 movies and 2 trailers

it is System 246 first, but as the 246 pretty much is a PS2 (right down to using a DVD drive rather than a ROM cart) a conversion is more than likely.

I just wish Cammy was in it.............

Cammy may be in it! So far the pics show Ryu, Batsu [from rival schools], Chun Li, Haggar and a few new characters. Oh yeah, and Alex, sporting a nice terry-like MOTW coat :)

Can somebody host those vids? Thanks, for anybody who does. Screw those pay sites. I can't stand that they charge for what everyone used to get for free, but just had to deal with ads.

Quote from gamespot.com Capcom Fighting All-Stars Preview...

"The new characters have a different feel to them that makes the game feel quite a bit like the Street Fighter EX series."<hr></blockquote>

Let's just hope the gameplay and mechanics of Capcom Fighting All-Stars aren't like the EX series. =\

MMMMMMMMmmmmmm, SF EX4. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn.

SF+3D=CRAP.

Street Fighter died after Third Strike. It's gone, just like KoF after '98. Not worth talking about anymore.

VF is the last great fighting series left.

you must be getting old. same thing happened to my parents sometime back in the 80's. all good music just 'stopped being made' to them. <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

I like the way the game is turning out. I just hope they put in Gouki/Akuma. I'm dying to see him in 3D; since he wasn't in Street Fighter EX 3 <img src="graemlins/veryangry.gif" border="0" alt="[Very Angry]" /> . Damn Arika <img src="graemlins/angry.gif" border="0" alt="[Angry]" /> .

I am glad they included Batsu! It's about time some Rival School Charecters got a bit of respect in the 3d fighting world! <img src="graemlins/glee.gif" border="0" alt="[Glee]" />

Dude, whatever. I don't have any personal beef with you, but you DO play fighting games with a DC pad of all things, so obviously playing these games at a high level of skill is something that ISN'T important to you. I enjoy plenty of modern games (Halo, VF4) so your attempt to paint me as some kind of jaded hater of all things new is without merit. Try again kiddo.

Any fighting game fan worth his salt knows and understands why Street Fighter should remain a 2D affair. In 3D, Soul Calibur and VF are the only games that have gotten fighting right.

Nothing personal.

I just pulled the videos down and it definitely look slike a 2d play type rendered in 3d. Visuals are VERY pretty. Seemed reasonably fast too. no idea on control, of course, but SEEMED to look as if it played like the EX games. Totally conjecture on my part though.

lol. Oh no, being judged as 'not a real fighting game fan' by an overweight internet stud on a message board. whats next? losing to Mr Acne King on a counterstrike server? That'll complete my internet experience. "Dude whatever." I wasn't trying to 'paint' you as anything. I was just making a joke...if you're taking this much offense to it, grow up.

Anyways, Ryo:

I agree, this looks to have solved a lot of SFex3's playability problems...the main one being speed [read: slow], and the graphics look much much prettier, but it does look the same. Especially Ryu's fireball speed.

peace!

i seen the free video and it looked alright..the players wernet very good so its hard to tell what the game will be like but it does appear to be a more 2d playing game..almost too 2d playing..it looked like the characters were trapped on a line..

as for the any street fighter player worth his salt has to hate 3d streetfighter games...i enjoy games of the sf EX series alot..they arnet the type of games i would play in a tourney and take real seriously...but they are fun u must admit..i play in cvs2/third strike tourneys regularly and i like to think im at least worth my salt :)

Thank you very much this is also how I feel; it all comes down to personal opinion, and this site is full of unintelligent fanboys who are stuck in 1993. That's not everyone mind you, that's not even you loopz; in fact, this is one of the most intelligent forums i've ever posted on. But there's a stigma that comes with loving a system and old games, and it rears its ugly head once in a while on these forums in the form of ignorance, or a "better-than-you" attitude.
