Just some info from a meeting with SNK on saturday in LA.

There are no plans to release any home versions of the following:

Strikers 1945+
Nightmare in the Dark

That's from the horses mouth - I know that there has been some speculation here on the BB, but they are not planning on doing anything as the numbers don't add up. It is not cost effective for them to do production runs in such small numbers - hence they won't be making them.

However, Vektorlogic will be producing AES/ Home console versions of our new games and they will be released about 6 months after the MVS release - At the moment, Vektorlogic will be selling these games to distribution channels.

MVS games are another matter - depending upon the offer on the table this month from SNK, we may or may not use SNK as a sole sales outlet for the games that are manufactured here in the UK. They will be developed in several countries, but assembled here. (Those of you still waiting for info on development tools and packs - please be patient - the manuals are being re-written and tests are being finalized on the hardware - hang on in there)

The first Neo MVS game will be ready on 1 Aug 01 and we will start shipping shortly after that (in full production by 1 Sep 01)

Screenshots etc will be released in July, along with other press info. I will post in a couple of weeks about getting on a mailing list if you want to receive info for your own web sites, including graphics etc. Info on the new platic moulded cart shells will also be available - just got the pics via e-mail today so they won't be long now.

Anyway - happy gaming and I will update soon - info will go on the site as soon as I get back and get the pages done.

Thanks for the info.

It's sad that they aren't going to bring 1945+ and Nightmare in the Dark to the aes. <IMG SRC="smilies/crying.gif" border="0">

Still I'm always interested in new arcade/neogeo/mvs developments and would love to see/play what games you come up with.

Please let us in on some of the info on the game(s) you are making. It is cool to see you doing this, I can't wait to see the finished product.

NGF's carts will be converts.

There is a bit about Vektorlogic's forthcoming games in a thread in the Hyper 64 forum. Take a look here. It's toward the bottom.

The link in the post above gives some basic info, but I will get the other info out after hearing from SNK later this week.

I only have a base demo in my possession until tonight when I should get the main code - final code in a few weeks - then we can put up some good screenshots - I will post a pic of the new cart plastics though as they look v nice

If people have a look in the Hyper forums Jeff actually mentions about what games are going to be released. Unfortunatley he doesnt mention KOF2k1

They are not working of any fightinf stuff, from what I have seen. There is some puzzle stuff and some others. Look above, in one of my prior posts, and there is a link to the thread.
