OKay folks, this won't be done until tomorrow. I know alot of you are staying up late for this, so please check back tomorrow.

The file ended up being 164 Megs, so it will be split up into 20 equal parts for faster download. I wish I had the time and experience to edit and section them off, but given my time limitation this will have to do for now.

Sorry for the delay and thanks to everyone for their anticipation and excitement.

From the looks of it, it plays very similar to KOF '98, but I'll let you guys decide with the vid.

alright folks, this is really pissing me off. Does anyone here specialize with video editing? Given the large file, anyone who can show us how to edit the videos into sections will be much appreciated.

The video was compressed to mpeg format, and with 164 Megs, it would be great to section it off to 20 pieces, which would average out to 8Megs.

Help, anyone?

I can chop it up for you. I can also turn them into divx AVI files too.

I can't work on them until tomorrow (monday) though.

Email me if you're still intersted.

nooo! please use the mpg format. i'd like to burn it as a VCD. watching it on tv will be soo much better. :)

you can always use winrar to split it into 20 (or even more) pices and it might reduce the total size, too. please do it that way.

I would say do it in AVI format. If someone does want to burn it to mpeg there is porgram that could make it back 2 mpeg. iI just think mpeg is 2 big

The thing is, we have a 18min video here. This thing could easily go beyond the 300MB range provided the quality isnt too bad.

Seriously 200MB is nothing. Even if i were to get it from a slow server or whatever, i am sure that it will be worth the wait (^^".

To the dial-up users, please note that you can still obtain the file @ 4K/s in about less than ONE DAY of time. That is such a small price to pay if you ask me.

TRIEUMINATOR: You can also put up the original 600-700MB file...I don't have any problem downloading this...

But why do you want to edit the video into sections? This sucks, cause you can't watch the whole thing in one piece.
Why not splitting it into 20 8MB .RAR or .ZIP Files?

And Wolf: If you encode it to DivX...please use DivX3 as it provides the best image quality and the best compression. DivX4+5 are pure shit!

AVI is a container format. It can be divx, mpeg and so on. AVI is no special codec.

Please offer a full size mpeg for all of the dsl/cable users here.

Even if you hack it up into smaller bits , if someone will host it please give us a high quality full size mpeg.

Thanks in advance , just getting to see it should be great no matter the size or quality.

Yep, but most of them are mpep4 nowadays, which is proprietary and and a PITA on Linux (which I happen to use)...

I'm all for a standard mpeg movie/stream. Please no WMV or somethin.

TRIEUMINATOR: I can edit it for you i did a ton of edited videos on srk.com and it be cool to work on this. Send me the mpeg and tell me how you want it and in 2 hours tops i can be done.

I got a killer editing system.

AMD 2200 XP
3 gigs of DDR memory
160 gig ultra 100

That alone just explains why.

Also i can be done by tonight.

there are a lot of different fxp progs. one of them is "flashfxp" :

www.flashfxp.com

by using that prog in combination with the required host, user, port & pw you can access my hdd. connecting is really simple. just follow the tutorial :

Actually I don't really like to use those programs and stuff.

How do I do it directly? I know I can do it with my ftp server by just putting it in the address bar and then specify the user name and password, but how come when I try to go to your address, ftp://supergoose.cyns.dx, and put in the correct username and password, I still can't go in?

Don't forget the non-standard port number 79. Normal ftp command data will be sent to port 21 if no alternate port is given.

Also, most (all?) browsers try to do a anonymous login with your main email address as passwort.

It's better to use a ftp program, or use the command line ftp in a DOS shell.
