Converted Homecarts make me Puke

Hell you guys make me puke! After finally finishing my Cabinet ( OK, have to get a Subwoofer next weekend but then its done )
I got it :
The Neo Geo Home Sytem is fuckin shnook and smelling dirt when you got a big cabinet to sit down before. Its just more fun, its the Neo's real home! The MVS is a cheap, cool reliable System with many games avaible.
The AES was, is and has been a rich childrens toy, nothing more. Stupid idiots paying 1000$ for a game LOOOOOL or 300$ for a converter because they cant afford expensive home carts. You can get used Cabs for 100 bucks if you look for them ( here in germany you actually even get small ols Jamma Cabs for free and you only have to buy a Board. Actually I can have 4 Games running at the same time, no dumb card exchanging every time you want to play another game. I got clear RGB you "modified S-Video" Applause Applause. Sell you homesytem to someone who is stupid enough to buy one and get a cab!

AND NOW BACK TO THE MAIN POINT : YOUR CARD RIPPING IS SO .... I CANT EAT AS MUCH AS I WANT TO PUKE! OH ... SHOCK TROOPERS IS NOT ON AES ... QUICK I GIVE YOU 500$ AND SUCK YOUR DICK IF YOU MAKE ME A FAKE ONE TO COMPLETE MY COLLECTION AND ANOTHER FREE BLOWJOB FOR THE FAKE INSERT. MONEY RIPOFF BASTARDS THATS WHAT I CALL THOSE GUYS.
IF YOU WANT SDB OR METAL SLUG OR SO GUY BUY A CABINET AND STOP KILLING CARDS!
AND TO ALL THE ARTWORK COLLECTORS:
GO BUY NICE MANGA ARTBOOK AND YOU HAVE ENOUGH ART FOR 1.MIO COVERS AND INLETS.
I BET MOST OF YOU DONT EVEN LOOK AT THEIR INLETS AND MANUALS, JUST POSE WITH THEM TO SHOW HOW IMPORTANT THEY ARE...

MVS IS DA REAL WORLD AND YOU CANT CONVERT THE TRUE FEELINGS IT BRINGS.

Why dont you write a letter & whine to SNK.
They made the home system & the mvs.
Nobody here really cares to hear you whine.

Why dont you try & take a big mature step.
Let others enjoy what they like in peace.

The only people that buy the $1000 games are the collectors. Most people shop around before they go buy an AES cart, I know I do. As far as the MVS goes, yeah it is probably better in terms of the price of the games. Some people just don't have the space for a full MVS. As far the converted carts go, again most of that stuff is for the collectors. If they want to pay $1000 for Shock Troopers or Fight Fever let them, it's their money.

Okay...I'd like to take this opportunity to distance myself from this guy. Don't get me wrong, I love my Neo Cab, but i can't use my neo cab on my 36" tv...and that counts for something too.

Also, the only reason MVS carts are cheaper are that they are 1) produced in larger quantities 2) essentially useless to arcade operaters once newer games came out. let's remember that new MVS kits do for 300-400 to arcade operators...what we buy from eBay is the product of arcade vendors who already made their money back and are moving on to deifferent grounds. If the MVS wasn't so popular in arcades, we'd probably be paying 200+ dollars for MVS carts right now.

I agree. Who ever said cabs were wrong? Or less cool than the home systems?
I always loved my MVS cab, its great.
I enjoy the rgb image, and the cheap price.

I also enjoy buying a game when it releases.
Not waiting 8 years for the price to drop.
So the home carts were always cheaper in the past.
I also enjoy sitting in front of a large TV set with several friends.
Its a pain with a cab, form a line.
With the home system, everyone just sits around comfortably drinking a beer.
Pass the controller when your turn is up.
I dig that, its fun.

Neogeo is fun in all its formats.
Its just plain childish to insult others
cause they dont share just your view.

Donkeyboy you sound rather bitter...I bet you wanted a NEO GEO home system as a kid and your parents laughed at you.

Sucks to be you.

Thank goodness we're back to properly bitching at each other in the "News" forum rather than having people post the fact that they have a new insert done for those that have purchased Shock MVS cases.

@WAN-FU

U are damn right. I wanted my homesystem 10 years long. Waited soooo loang for it and, I was dissapointed if I compare to it to my MVS. I have 3 Cabinets now, 1 Jamma 1 4-Slot and one Pooyan ( this really rocks !!!) I got them all long before I got interested in Neo Geo again... I was so stupid to buy a fuckn home System instead of just upgrading my huge Cabinet. Just luck i could sell this thing with "a little profit" and pick up an 4-Slot for 120$.
I am from Europe and I tell you that i have to order AES games from Japan to get them relativly cheap and good selection to choose from. This takes long is expensive and complicated.
If you want a good selection of MVS titles over here, just grab the yellow pages and call the shabbiest arcade supplier in the smallest village and you can get nearly evry title you want for around 50$-75$, thats some kind of standart price here.
So maybe you understand why I dont like the homesystem really... it was a dissapointand I dont like killing MVS-Carts for home joy.
I dont care if anyone here likese me or not. But i am sure you will ban me like Krauser because i speech freely.

OK I JUST GO A CALL, I GET MY METAL SLUG TOMORROW! 70$!
LIFE HAS SENSE AGAIN NOW!

If you want to speak freely, call your mom.

-OR-

Post in the "Unrelated Topics" section..the fact that you don't like the home system is not "NEWS or RUMORS" and to be honest..nobody gives a what you like.

Welcome to neogeo.
I live in the USA. To get carts cheaply I have to order from abroad also.
Ive bought many carts from europe, so I guess that funny.
Its the way it goes.

As for banning? Why are you asking for it?
If you thought this would get you banned before you posted it then your an ass.
Why would anyone want to be banned?
I guess so you can try & look cool for lwk as u mentioned him.
Grow up eh, try & be your own man.

We must be rich folks for owning an AES

Seriously though, I sold my AES system a month ago and really got into MVS!

I really don't agree with what collectors pay for carts, but its their own business.

The collectors and gamers are the people who keep this scene alive. I'm glad there are choices to be made in the world of the Neo-Geo.

I took my route and I'm happy with the decision I made

I know the collectors are happy with the route they took as well

Don't post your BS here about how you can't stand cart collectors...

(FYI- The person who brought you this site is a collector, I am as well, just MVS!)

When you 1st came to this BBs, you were so mad at everyone here. Dunno why, but you were.

Lets say it this way:

Homesystem has never been a console for the masses, it was like an elite console and the people behave as if their AES games are any really noticeable differences from the MVS titles to AES. Noone needs the Home System anyway there are so many active PCB's for all of us out there.
I mean its very senseless to buy a home System unless you are a) rich or b)pleased owning just 2 games in 8 month and/ or c)want to pay 50$ a plastic arcade stick i can solder you for 10$ in higher quality in half an hour.
Thest best thing about MVS is that you can repair most parts on your own.

Know I really understand what makes collectors and gamers different:
Gamers want to play a game, collectors pay every price you want for a piece of plastic as long you say its rare and it has an official logo / unbroken seal on it.

MVS gamer! Forever!

Donkeyboy- First, DROP THE DAMN ATTITUDE.

While I choose to go the MVS-and-Supergun route (the games are nice on a 35" Sony), I have respect for the collectors. The NGHC games are true collectors' items due to their rarity. The cases of the NGHCs look nice as well.

As Nick said, let others enjoy what they like in peace.

A NGH system can be modified as well to do S-Video or RGB.

I dont know if it is because i sit right in front of my cabinet but I had my Neo Home System hooked up to an RGB TV ( European ) with RGB cable but the picture on my hantarex is even a little better then my new multinorm TV.
I think Home System is only about money.
200-400$ for an average game, think how many food you could buy for your family or you could pay your flat for another week i dont think the games are wort what is paid for.
The prices are faaaaar away from reality!
Home System = NO FUN, MVS = Ultimate 2D gaming system

Heh, heh. Even though I have a decent amount of home carts, many of them expensive, whenever I play my Neo games, it always ends up that my cabinet gets the action, not the home machine. Get this. My home machine isn't even hooked up right now. The cab gets all the play time.
