Will CAPCOM buy SNK?

I heard a rumor that CAOCOM were about to
buy 30% of SNK?If that`s true it will be cool
because CAPCOM will have more licenses to
make SNK characters.BTW I am sure that CAPCOM
bough 20% from Marvel Comics but they failed
at TSR because TSR were unpleasant with D&D2
Shadow Over Mystara...Hmmm I wonder what will
happen?

I actually hope this ISN'T true.

Not because I have anything against Capcom, but because if they get a substantial piece of SNK, I fear a lot of the uniqueness and individuality of SNK, their games and characters, will be lost over time as Capcom absorbs them into their already existing licenses.

Personally, I like the way things are now - there's room enough for both companies to have their own niche, and yet still get together on occasion to produce the cross-over titles.

How about Capcom buying SNK and producing a new Neo Geo style machine (with AES and MVS style offerings) housing all of Capcom and SNK's latest games? <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

I am going to buy the local MCdonalds, it must be some phenominon, but it is always filled with ugly people.

Nah, This won't happen. There are too many fans that love them as single companies. I love Capcom & SNK for what they are. I hope they never "combine".

I think Capcom would be the best to buy the rights to SNK games and characters.

Breath of fire 1 and 4 are two of the best RPG's ever made, number four was done by capcom only and not square as 1 was both of em.
Capcom should not be bashed they have brought some damn fine shit to the table.

Being a SNK fan does not GUARANTEE that SNK fans should hate capcom. Thats what I hate, SNK fans get this bad rap like all they do is shit on capcom.

Bottom line, both companies enspire each other.
SF3 series is one of cap's finest franchises, from a unbiased standpoint.
You cannot rule out capcom entirely because SNK and cap are always seen as opposing sides.
Just my opinion.
Although SRK.COM bashing is addictive as hell.
However I am opposed to button mashers, ala Marvel VS series.

I don't forsee this happening but I guess anything is possible. personally I have always enjoyed Capcom's games I think it would be cool as long as Capcomm still developed new Snk games (not just vs. tites)
and continued to support the AES home system.

What Capcom needs to do is stop messin around and invading SNK stuff and start making and/or improving their own shit. For the record: while I do prefer Capcom, I would not like to see them buy SNK.
