New surprise MVS

The section was pretty small so I pasted it here. Maybe surprise title is KOF2K1? <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> I hope it isn't, since we know that is already on the way I'd rather see one of the other rumored titles.

APPLE TO BOW NEW PHOTO MACHINE, SNK VIDEOS

Apple Industries of New York will bow a brand new postcard-style photo machine called Dr. Face at next month’s AMOA International Expo. The unit was developed by a Spanish manufacturer, Digital Center, and allows patrons to manipulate their image in many creative ways. The firm, which represents SNK in North America, will also show two new Neo Geo titles, Zupapa and a second surprise title. The company has also begun selling consumer software produced by SNK here in North America. In other Apple news, the company says its JVL Conquest Touch & Win tournaments have increased play by 300% in locations across the U.S. Apple, which represents JVL for sales and marketing, has already given away $150,000 in prizes over the course of three national tournament competitions.

Wonder if the surprise title is SNK vs Capcom.

SS5 is due.

If it's ANYTHING besides Kof2K1 I'll be happy (Don't get me wrong KOF2K1 rules...but that's not much of a 'surprise' is it?)

I'd like to see a 'pinball title' <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">...you know what I mean!

I'd like to see a Real Bout 3 (go figure - my name tells the whole story <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> )

Other than that, I think a new 2D Samurai Showdown is long past due.

That was the title that really brought SNK to the dance in the minds of a lot of people (quite a few reviews at the time hailed this as the title that finally toppled the mighty Street Fighter juggernaut), but ending the MVS incarnations on SSIV seemed to just leave a bad taste in the mouth of a lot of die-hard fans (although it seems to be popular among a lot of the newer ones).

Anyway, this would probably be my guess.

I would love either of those titles... I remember the first time I played Guerrilla War on my friend's NES.

If it was Garou 2, though... that'd be bloody terrific.

Did anyone catch the line in the article that referenced "consumer software"? What if any consumer software has Apple released? Was the MS3 English version released through them?

Personally, I'm still waiting for another World Heroes game. Just because that's one of the grand old games.

They could call it World Heroes Final, and have all the guys from WHP along with a few more...

They could have a the doctor controlling an exo-suit, an actual caveman, perhaps another Kung-Fu guy who fights differently from K. Dragon, and a Civil War guy.

It could have many of the features of the old games:

Fake Dizzies (WH2J)
Timed Block Projectile Reflection (WH2)
Throw Reversals (WH2)
ABC Attacks (WHP)
HERO Gauge (WHP) (along with the ES* moves and MAX Desperation moves)

The final boss sequence could be

Neo Geegus
Neo Dio
Mega Zeus (I've seen pictures of him, and a concept character for MUGEN, a freeware fighting engine)
Then, after the 1st round against Mega Zeus, N. Geegus and N. Dio come on either side of M. Zeus, he stabs them with his hands, and forces their power into himself, creating Perfect Zeus--a heavily-armored, 10-ft. version of Zeus. The cutscene could be like this...

Zeus: Even with this power, I lost...?
*Neo Geegus and Neo Dio appear on either side*
N.G. and N.D.: You fool! They're too powerful for your pathetic self, dweebenheimer!
Zeus: Then GRANT ME YOUR POWER! *stabs into them*
*screen goes white*
*shows Perfect Zeus*
P. Zeus: FINALLY... MY TRUE POWER IS UNLEASHED.
P. Zeus: YOU COULD BARELY DEFEAT ME WHEN I WAS A MERE MAN...
P. Zeus: LET US SEE HOW YOU FARE AGAINST ME AS A GOD.

He would be able to do Dio's moves, and shift ala Geegus.

Should be KOF2001 but another title would not hurt. Real Bout 3 (with Jubei, Axel, Raiden, Ryo and Alfred) would be cool but if anything it could be Slug 4, LB3 or MOTW2. I only hope they make a sequel to Kizuna Encounter. That game rocks. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

How about Baseball Stars 3? Slug 4 would be fine with me too...or a re-release of a rarity like Bust-A-Move EX! Seems logical that they might do a re-release of a proven earner without having to put any real money forth...

Speaking of new Neo titles... what the hell happened to Neo Sparks? And my bet for the surprise game is KOF2K1... We all know about it, but the entire AMOA conference will see it as a new surprise title.... just my thoughts. I may go to AMOA, but I am not sure yet... if I do, whatever it is I will get pictures (haha, and a lengthy report like my last one about Sengoku 3 from ASI). By the way, Bobak, you should dig that up and use it as a review for Sengoku 3 (it was sometime in March) Later,
