Will you guys stop posting [inserts] in this forum. I think these kind of things should be posted under the Creative forum. If you guys don't realise it already, News and Rumors forum is in a mess with jumbled-up posts. When I want to hear/read the latest news, I go here. If I want to checkout you guys version of inserts or anything relating to arts/creativity, I'd go to the Creative forums.

Surprisingly, the moderators aren't doing anything. Maybe it's okay, but this place is in a mess.

Thanks to guys like Big bear and nick fury the mvs cases/inserts developement for the mvs is the biggest news to hit the neo scene for a long time.

Pretty much most people are interested in hearing the latest on this so it should stay in the news section. <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

Yeah.. you're right the forums are in a mess!! FREE from the same old SPAMMERS posting the SAME UNRELATED Garbage in order to start a thread full of FLAMING.
They really are in a mess when People I've never seen participate are excited about 'HOME BREWING'.
They really are in a mess when people start to realize that they don't have to wait around for someone else to RELEASE something and take the law into there own hands...
They really are in a mess when this type of stuff could lead to a few of us getting together and attempt to produce a piece of SOFTWARE for a machine we all claim to LOVE...(desperate need for more games!)

the News forum is so full of strange stuff these days...it's stranger than the Unrelated forum. And lately there doesn't seem to be much news, just all sorts of funny threads. ^0^

I think once the creators of inserts have been given access to upload them to BB's page, this will iron out. I see where poeple that think this should be moved to creative are coming from, but look at it this way.

When was the last time so MANY people were so excited about something in the Neo scene? There aren't a lot of games coming out, if you hadn't noticed. The fact that people are beginning to make their own inserts (and doing such a GREAT job) in such numbers seems like pretty big news to me. And, judging from the number of posts in response, it seems like it is pretty big news to a lot of people on the board as well.

I think once we have access to post our large files directly to the inserts web site, the posts in "News" will be more along the lines of, "New Last Blade insert posted on BB's site," kind of thing.

Anyway, I was just thinking how cool it was that so many people from this board were participating in something positive instead of fighting. Why in the name of sanity would anyone want to squash that? The topics say "Inserts..." right on them. If it's not news to you, SKIP IT.

While I can appreciate where firebreed and Fran are coming from, I personally believe that these new inserts are INCREDIBLE NEWS for the Neo community! I'm amazed at the inserts that have been created by Nick_th_Fury (especially Shock Troopers!), Jeff Kurtz (Metal Slug of course!), Mouse Master, RyoGeo, LastResort, and others here. Resized to fit the MVS cases, these inserts can allow MVS cart collectors/owners to have beautiful professionaly-boxed and packaged games sitting right there on their shelves, in just the same way that home cart collectors/gamers have had since the beginning! So in closing, I can understand how some people might consider these posts about inserts more appropriate for the creative section, but I believe that they are very important news and belong here. I'll be posting some links to pics of boxed MVS carts (using the new BB boxes) in the near future, so people can see how even the original MVS artwork can make them look BEAUTIFUL!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I just want to apologize and I also would like Insert creators to apologize for being ENTHUSIASTIC about 'HOME BREW' projects and wanting to get involved.
Let's just all shut up now and get back to....Uh...what was it we were discussing before the Home Brew Insert posts started popping up all over the place??? Oh okay..how about the 'EMU POST' about paying the guys for their 'HARD LABOR' or how about the 'WHO IS KING' topic..how about 'I HAVE A DISEASE'thread...okay what about the millions of 'AESII' threads asking info...
should I go on...hold up wait a minute ..what about the 'NGF has a BBS for their FANS thread'

In my opinion, if you guys want to show your inserts off, I wouldn't really mind. I'm sure it is big news to the NeoGeo society. But it would look cluttersome if the whole forum was filled with new topics posted by different individuals about their new inserts. If you want to show your new insert to the rest of the NG members, why not post it to another existing topic about inserts? That way, you still get your insert shown and leave room for new news to be posted.

I agree with that FCL. Like I said in my first post to this thread, things will get ironed out eventually. Let the excitement continue to bubble while it can, because this insert business is far closer to News & Rumours than a lot of crap that was winding up in here anyway, like "The Neo Scene SUCKS! This Is News, BTW!"

Perhaps an area on the Main Page of the site, which would contain links to Big Bears storage area, and show thumbnails of the inserts? Things are getting hammered out, and I will happily take a Forum that is messy due to positive works as opposed to one that is a mess due to negativity.

Wow, firebreed got kicked in the crotch for that effort. I'm curious as to why these "inserts" are seen as news, as well. They're not news, they're obviously creative works. Doesn't matter though, it's just nitpicking. Dash it all, send em to the war room.
