Visit the Arcade! forums and post your support for the AES HERE Maybe if alot of people show support maybe Arcade will reconsider. Also they are saying it would probably be in the $499-$599 range making it a well worth while purchase

That price range is absolutly insane for a 10 year old 16 bit system. What will it do thats so much better than a REAL home system that costs 200-250?

If they released it at 199, I could see the purchase, but 500+ is NUTS.

Would you pay 300 bucks for a 3rd party gameboy?

It would be allot easier to support/want this system, if people accually knew what it did! It's arcades! own fault for lack of intrest, and his alone.

We need more than a price range... we need a firm price, release date, hardware specs, etc. I'm not about to pledge $400-$600 on faith alone. Especially since $400-$600 is WAY more than it should be. If !Arcade! can give some concrete details, and lower than insanely high price, then I'll think about it.

not to mention if you know where to look, you can buy an arcade cab with a 1 slot, AND a home system for 500-600...

I'd love to support, but only if it's a decent price.

Possibly, but then people have payed 500-1000
dollars for mint mahjong contollers too.
IMO, thats crazy. (especially with patience you can always evntually get one for 100-200mint/new).

The neo scene used to make alot of sense.
Too bad its been crazy since '99.

If more details about it were announced as well as pictures, features etc then it may convince me to lay down $500 or whatever. But a picture of a prototype and a PSX controller aint enough.

I was expecting on the 17th shit loads of details about it including price, release date, pictures... EVERYTHING. If Arcade had actually TRIED to market their product and create some hype for it then i'm sure more people would be interested.

You can't just say that the demand isn't there when no effort has been made to convince people.

If it is indeed in WORKING prototype form then for god's sake show pictures of it as well as definate specs and create a pre order list with a $50 deposit system. This would sell the system to people not one crappy ad in GameGo.

I advise Arcade to reconsider and try the above scheme as this would be a definate gauge for interest shown.

I think I'd rather see the resources go into getting new games and re-releases out there instead of a newer version of the hardware. My home system and 1 slot cab work great and together cost less than $500.

Hey guys! Do you realise, we have started our own little petition here?
Its the "Drop the price to £200, and stop talking shit!" Petition!

In all seriousness, I totally agree with DK-Ex, Sidez, wages, Silent, Krauser, Wing, etc, etc, etc.........

I'd love to have one!
But it is a glorified Supergun with PSX controllers!
Lets try and get some perspective here !ARCADE! Can we?

First, he withdraws the whole project... now, if we go to his web site and "beg" him to make them he may reconsider...

You guys... I do have the money for the system, and I'm still not getting it. You don't slap potential customers in the face, then tell them to beg for it afterwards. As far as I'm concerned, it would be nice to see it... but as for me getting one, I won't even bother.

I am sorry guys but out side of these forums there is no market for the AES2. If Arcade made a large run of this product, they would take a huge loss. It was a great idea, but unfortunately a little too late. Maybe they could do something like a made to order thing like MAS does. Just a thought.

I am uncertain why a limited run of AES II machines would be any different than the limited runs of converted carts. The converted carts run nearly the price of the AES II, which !Arcade! stated would be around $450. Based on what !Arcade! has said, the AES II is a AES/MVS/ and "Supergun" machine all in one. For those of us who are trying to break into the Neo scene, this is the ultimate product to justify getting into this expensive hobby. It seems anything that gives support to the Neo Geo scene, which is 11 years old, would be very welcomed--regardless if it is SNK or not. Company just dont attempt to make a product like this for a small audience that often. Regardless of !Arcade!'s lack of info or strategy, if the product is as stated--modded AES,MVS, and Supergun, I dont think many could say that $450 is not a fair price. A new modded AES ($250-300), new MVS ($150-200), and Supergun (MAS--$300). Add it up and you have around ($700-$800). I for one would never purchase those items separately although I would like to have all three, but with an all in one package--I could truly be involved with all aspect of Neo--AES, MVS, and even Hyper 64. If MAS systems can market to the arcade player, I think the AES II would appeal to that market of arcade collector that can play Jamma boards on a TV and then get into the AES scene. I think the AES II could open more doors for this scene from other areas. Who wouldn't sell their supergun set-up, etc. and get a brand new, all in one set-up with its other features. This is a big loss for lots of people trying to get into the Neo scene and may not see an opportunity like this one to reasonable get into it. Hope !Arcade! reconsiders and support for at least a trial run is given.

Well ever since it got centralized here and in a few other places, A lot of hardcore price-gouging nuts popped up and declared themselves Neo gods.

No matter tho. The Scene now is in a healthy middle point and for now we can only move foward and maybe, just maybe things will temper down enough where prices and people will finally start mellowing out
