Kof2001 Pics?

September 17th, 2001 - We have no confirmation on this and it should be taken as a rumor until more details surface, but graphics have surfaced on game.chosun.com of what seem to be new characters from King of Fighters 2001.

Those definitely look like sprites drawn using the neo resolution and color pallete...I'm willing to bet those leaked out somehow. The picture is of a boss I'm guessing, impressive.>>>

Oh, and on a more related note, while the character designs seem good, that girl in black does look like she indeed would better belong in a Samurai Spirits game.

PS: I always thought that Poppy should have been in at LEAST one KOF game.

It's probably just me, but I was wondering if anyone else thought the same:

As soon as I saw the pic, I thought the girl in the black looked like Marie, Rock's mother from MotW.

And the guy in the throne looks a bit like Kain from the same game.

Now, this being a KoF game (and a series which doesn't even aknowledge the FF/AoF characters for the most part) I know I'm 99.99% wrong, but if there's a .01% chance I'm right, you'll never hear the end of it <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

Did anyone else think the same thing? The pictures are a bit on the smallish side, but that's what immediately came to mind...
