Now that all of you have started playing this much-anticipated game (and, from what I hear, getting worked by God Rugal and Shin Akuma)... Don't forget to make notes of your experience and submite them to me

I got something to say, I cannot stand the way SNK gets represented in that series.
It is so "backseated"
I mean, capcom gets the most part in development, recreating SNK's beloved characters.
Then SNK fans cannot sit comfortably with useing them. The art sucked. I could not stand the generated psuedo 2d-3D crap, its ugly and not SNK.

The gameplay?
PFFT. Not deep enough, the first was crap.
Jaggies everywhere. Nothing felt "SNKISH"
nothing.
Personally its just a media whore imo.

That whole series just uses the SNK name to attract SNK's fans.
Haohmaru says enough as is.
YUCK.

I feel a HOMESLICE style review coming on....
The capcom of today is crap.
There only game left out worth crediting is the SF3 series, it plays looks and feels beautiful.
CVSS 2? Why even make another one of a already failed product.
One thing is certain, they screw with Krauser and make him a 2D jaggie based character with 3D ugly projectiles, and I will explode.
The last game was horrible, WHO NEEDS a points system? What retard came up with that.
The mentality behind it is this.
A wannabe KOF mixed with a VS series title.
CAPCOM, CAPCOM, CAPCOM, CAPCOM, snk, CAPCOM CAPCOM, CAPCOM.... etc etc.
SNK got lossed in there somewhere, who knows maybe they did the credits.
You get the point.
Yeah CVSS series is the shit.
Oh yeah lets go feed the media whores and let the cult based SNK fandom get lossed in capcom's psuedo crap.
SNK is getting backseated.

Wow, i quite agree with Krauser! Graphics are complete bullshit in this new game, perhaps beacause of the internet support, and the game system use six buttons... Need to say more? Can you imagine playing Iori with six buttons against a Street Fighter classic like Ryu or Akuma? It's a real non sense... And as if it wasn't enough, there are too many bugs (but that's the only way they found to make huge combos) like a crapy corner combo with Iori or Kyo. So if you wanna win in this game, use a SF character, and get your opponent in the corner, that's all.

Hope KOF2001 will be better, even Eolith can do something less crapy than this ugly Capcom fighter.

Bobak,i wish i could give a review on this game but i'm too lazy to write an indept coverage on this baby.

CvsS2 is not a bad game.the 3d graphics are some of the best i've seen but the sprites are ugly,i guess thats where the 'graphics sux' part.overall, its a decent game and is WAAAAAAYYYYYY more better than the first game.

All I can say is, hopefully the SNK v Capcom coming to the MVS will be the answer to our prayers. In any case, while I don't have CvS 2, I still do enjoy playing the first one. It's not SNK for certain, but I still think it's fun.

Has SNK vs Capcom for MVS been properly confirmed as opposed to just rumour RyoGeo? Hopefully there'll be Shingo, Andy, Eiji and Billy and some more SF3 chara rather than the deluge of SFA has-beens if so then

As far as I know it's not been confirmed, it's all just rumours really. I'd be suprised if it ever gets released, but I'd like to see it all the same

Graphics:Good not great, very noticable jaggies on all characters and Morrigan looks like shit. Backgrounds are good but nothing spectacular, I liked KOF 99 Evo's better, Evo felt like you were really there with all the effects and characters blended way better too.
Sound: Again Good. Scratchy sounding though and kinda good to see original and urban beats, but sometimes it feels as if it doesn't fit the stage. Character effects are mostly the same as part 1.
Gameplay: On par with part 1 and very responsive, pure Capcom Seal of Approval.
Replay: A lot. It's gonna take time to get every character mapped and tons of new animation to find. It's really a fun game with many characters and grooves.
Overall: The game feels unfinished and the 3D backgrounds make the sprites look very unpolished. It's kinda like we're still waiting for the right formula and this is just a taste of what will still be the true Cap Vs. SNK. Cap is gonna have to stop recycling as it's really looking like Mugen. Also the new characters are actually kind of an odd pick and are not what I would have chose but then again, who am I? I would write more on grooves but I'm not even that hardcore. I know all my notes sound negative but it's just that I love KOF EVO so much and was just hoping that this game would dethrone it off the top spot on my DC. This game comes in 2nd IMO and is still worth your playtime. As for the fan Disc, it's an awesome piece of nostalgia and is the perfect bonus. A lot of character art and saves for all Capcom fighting games for the Dc. Also some tunes from the past games as well.
Overall: 8.0 out of 10.0.
I know I kinda suck at reviews but I just wanted to give you an insight from someone who expected a little more. Now I'm waiting for NFL2K2 to end this Dreamcast sequel jinx lately.
