Hello all,
Just returned from the Memphis International Airport, 4am CST. Shipments from the Neo Store are taken to the USPS (United States Postal Service) which is located @ the airport here in Memphis. It never closes here you see, not even on holidays. Is great for businesses, at least when the planes fly.
The largest shipping hub in the world is located in Memphis. Thanks in most part to FedEx, which was founded & based here. In case you didn’t now, more metric tonnage of shipments move through Memphis than anywhere else in the world. Was quite an eerie experience at the airport this morning. Not a plane in the sky, quiet as could be, unlike any previous trip I had taken here before.
The postal workers were quite distraught. They say all air bound shipments are on hold, not being rerouted to ground. However, they did say that FedEx is rerouting domestic airmail shipments to ground for the time being. As you probably already know, this global crisis has put a lock down on all flights for the time being.
SNK has informed me that the US Metal Slug 3 production is complete and would have shipped today. If it were not for the tragic events, the release could have been as early as the 15th. For now, the shipment is on hold until flights recommence.
From monitoring the activity on the forums and in our chat, I get the impression that we truly are a tight-nit family. Bobak pointed out how supportive we are to one another, more so than the ON-merger incident. I’m glad we have this cultural community that exists in our piece of cyberspace. I can honestly say that I received most of the news from today’s events from reading the posts here on our forums. Looking forward to a brighter day tomorrow.
