It's not a fantastic revolutionary event changing occurance, BUT I recieved this email from videogamedepot.com in response to an email I sent them. (Italics are me, Bold is VGD.com)
Also, out of curiosity. I tried to subscribe to GameGO! and the payment was rejected. I've talked to two people who have had the same thing happen to them. I'm aware that the magazine is in trouble and that I may never see issue 2, but I'm willing to risk it if the money will help to keep GameGO! alive. If I pay for a subscription and I never see any of the issues that's fine by me.
Might be unconfirmed addresses. We appreciate the support and thanks!
Sure enough, my Paypal addy is an unconfirmed one and I'm willing to be those who have encountered this also have a similar problem.
If nothing else, it proves that GameGO! is not dead.
For those who may not understand the relationship between videogamedepot.com and GameGO!, for all intents and purposes videogamedepot.com is the parent company of GameGO! magazine.
So EVERYONE!! DIG DEEP and buy a subscription for GameGO! If you have one, get another one as a collectable.
Talk to your school's librarian. If you work for a company, talk to whoever it is that orders magazines for the waiting room, coffee break room or (in my company's case <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">) the bathroom.
TELL THEM, that you want GameGO!. It's like 15 bucks (compared to Sports Illustrated which is rather costly) and the 'employee's' will really like it.
Tell them it's about cooking. Tell them it's about breast cancer awareness. Tell them ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO to get them to subscribe. By the time the subscription runs out, GameGO! will be on it's feet.
It's 20 bucks people. We are members of arguably the most expensive game scene around! 20 bucks to some gamers is one or two games. It's not even a manual to us! Hell, it's barely shipping and handleing.
Stand up and show some respect.
