I'm not sure if any of you know what Classic Gaming Expo is, it's an annual event held every August in Las Vegas that covers all classic gaming, although primarily Atari, I've just booked my air and hotel so I'll be there for sure.

Not only that, I'll be working (more like watching and chatting) at VGB booth this yr, even though I won't be there all the time, if you stick around, you'll find me there, for more info, please go to this page

I wish I could go, but between E3 and Japan, I don't have the money to do it...

You going to be able to make your way to E3 this year, Vince? If so, maybe we can meet up there or something...

Mitch:

Just let you know that NGF will be there too.

Nick:

Current new generation systems don't interest me that much so I've never considered E3. CGE, on the other hands, is much cooler and personal as you get to play the oldies. Nowadays even CNN, EGM, and Tech TV go there, it'll just get bigger each yr.

One last thing, for anyone thinking of going, Am West Vacations offers by far the best Air+Hotel package, even Orbitz and Travelocity don't come close. The cheapest hotel option when you choose the hotel, is Fitzgerald Holiday Inn, which happen to be the closest hotel to the Plaza Hotel in downtown where the show is held (only 2 blocks away), I paid only $273 for mine with my own hotel room, but you need to book early for those deals. The most expensive hotel option, Ballagio penthouse suite, asking a mere $2400 for the weekend, ouch!

Your staying at the Fitzgerald... hahaha, how can you go to Vegas and stay there... hehe, atleast stay at the Mirage or something :) Vegas is an experience in and of itself, who cares why you are going, the whole idea is to live it up while you are there... splurge a little and you will never forget that trip... hehe... To tell you the truth I have stayed there before and for the $75 or so a nite we spent, it was really nice, but it should not even be compared to Ballagio... I mean you don't have to stayt penthouse, that is absurd, but there are affordable rooms there... hehe, oh well.

Nick:

I know, Fitzgerald isn't glamorous, but it happens to be next to the expo. Last time I stayed at MGM and I ended up spending most of time around Caesar's Palace, Mirage, and Treasure's Island. I only need a place to sleep, the rest of the time I'll go wherever I want to go. The buses are convenient along the boulevard. BTW, how's Stratasphere?
