Metal Slug 4 Home Rumor Looking Stronger

Upon checking my mail today, I got an update on the status of the English 2k1 carts. In addition to this, I was happy to read the following:

"We hope you continue to prepurchase future home releases from the Neo Store. You can expect information concerning a Metal Slug 4 home release to be announced in the coming weeks."

VERY good news indeed! Looks like we have a shot at an English MS4. Hopefully, Shawn can influence the look of the insert. I would imagine just getting 2k1 made in English to begin with was tough enough. Now that we know they will make the carts, perhaps some input will be accepted on the look.

Anyway, thought this was worth mentioning.

YA DAMN STRAIGHT SKIPPY! slug is just to much to wait for. 1 year...IMPOSIBLE!

For me to pick it up on AES I would have to re-purchase an AES and then get the game.

$200+$300= $500 or the waiting period of 6 months on MVS.

Hey, Mike. Ya' gotta keep that hom esystem handy! I play 99% of my Neo on a cab as well, but for those few titles that are in that MVS honeymoon phase, it's nice ot have the home system around (KoF 2k, 2k1).

Anyway, too bad you sold you console, but you can get an MVS cart before too long. Slug 3's are pretty reasonable now on MVS, even for full kits.

I'd really like to see MS4 and of course others too. It's nice to show your non-neo friends that the Neo is still alive after all these years!

I was just thinking that the difference between an English and Japanese Metal Slug game is hardly nothing. The only difference is the how to play part and the listing of the captured prisioners and the scoring prt in the end. So right now, I'm gonna go for the first version that's out, which will most likely be the japanese MVS

Well, one thing to keep in mind about the way the Neo Store has classically fucntioned. Preorders and announcements are NEVER made prior to the order being 100% secured and paid for.

Other sites that people have posted about are already taking preorders on Slug 4 when they have zero idea of actual availability and are throwing a dart to determine price. Release prices at the Neo Store never change three days before release because Shawn has already paid for everything, up to and inluding shipping.

It's kind of unfortunate really. Other sites start taking preorders with nothing in hand, and low ball the price to boot. Then, the Neo Store, one of the few that has real information, is the last to begin taking preorders (again, waiting for a 100% confirmed and paid for order) and is also the highest priced ONLY because the Neo Store states the real price form the beginning. Then, three days before launch, all the prices everywhere else go up to match the Neo Store price. They get the benefit of advertising the lowest price for weeks, get a bunch of customers that think they are getting a deal and then stick them for the real price anyway.

I guess, in a sense, it's a good business practice because otherwise they would loose sales to the Neo Store since most poeple know the price is the price there. I just think it's underhanded.

Kind of off topic, I know, but it's something that I have observed in the last year or so. Rant off.

I hear ya Ryo Geo. I preordered the Metal Gear SOlid 2 Limited Edition from NCSX, and then I think a week before they get them in stock, they jack up the price about 30 or 40 bucks They do that with all preorders too

Here they're already taking pre-orders and they say that the release date is mid-June.

Metal Slug 4 is pushing the price of all the MVS carts in Akihabara down!

159,000 yen gets you Metal Slug 4, but Metal Slug 3 over the last week has dropped from 35-38,000 to 18,000 (around 90 quid) - so me and the GF both picked up a copy

Just waiting for Zupapa, Nightmare in the Dark, and Sengoku 2001 to drop a little bit more...

I`ll be on the look out for MS4 in the arcades, so if i see it , i`ll let you know what i think...

the nightmare is that i have to come back to the uk for a 3 week holiday soon....

argggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh.
